xiii. FULL OF SHIT

   

THE GROUP of six all stayed standing there until Icarus and Steve look at each other then at Dustin. "The gate." They say as they look back at it. "I don't understand, you've seen this before?" Robin asked as they rush back down the stairs.

"Not exactly." Steve says. "Then what, exactly?" She asked and Icarus sighs. "All you need to know is it's bad." He says and Dustin nods. "It's really bad." He says. "Like end-of-the-human-race-as-we-know-it kind of bad." Dustin further explains.

"And you know about this how?" Robin asked who they all turn to. "Um, Steve? Where's your Russian friend?" Erica asked as she looks behind them. They all look down at the spot where the man was laying only to see he was gone and all there was left was a tiny bit of blood on the floor.

Alarms start blaring as the lights turn red, "shit." Icarus whispers, walking over to the door and was about to open it but then he saw men running towards them, yelling at them to halt.

He shuts the door and turns to them, "up the stairs! Now!" He yelled then ran up the stairs with them following behind without a doubt or question. They run into the same room they were in, only to walk into the doors they were looking into, causing all the men in lab coats to turn and look at them.

"Hi!" Icarus awkwardly said and Dustin grabs his shirt and pulls him along with him. They run down the stairs and past more men, in fact Dustin was screaming and shoved one of them.

They get to the end of the rail, near the energy, the light. "Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!" Dustin is yelling as he was holding onto Icarus' forearm, gripping it so tight Icarus can feel like bruises were already forming on his arm.

"This way!" Steve yells before running down more stairs, the two kids and three teenagers running to follow behind him. "Oh, shit, oh, shit!" Steve yelled as he saw more men coming but he pushes barrels at them before running until they find a door, which they run in through.

Steve and Icarus keep the door shut as Robin, Chris, Erica and Dustin look all around for any signs of an exit. "Shit!" Dustin yelled and Icarus looks at Steve. Robin runs over to help them keep the door shut, the extra strength helps them over the many Russians just right outside the door.

"In here! Come on! Let's go!" Erica yells as she finds a vent where she and Dustin can climb into, Dustin looks over. "Come on!" He yells and Icarus looks at Steve. "Go." He nods and Steve shakes his head. "Like Dustin said, in the room.." He says and Icarus looks at Robin. "You go.. Go." He says but she shakes her head. "Fine! Chris, you go! Make sure those two don't die or something." He says.

Chris looks over at them. "I can't let you guys stay and not even help—" "Just go! Go get some help!" Icarus yells and Chris sighed but followed Dustin and Erica into the air ducts anyway. The door suddenly pushes the three of them back, the Russians running in and holding their guns up.

The next few hours, the Russians just kept them hostage and one of them digs through Icarus' backpack. "Don't take my weed, now!" He says as a joke and the man just glanced up and looked away. "Listen, listen, please don't hurt the other two.. Okay?" He begged him.

"The two in the weird outfits? Don't hurt them.." He says and the man just looks at him. "We already knocked out one of them.." He said with a vicious tone and then two men brings Steve into the room, throwing him onto the ground.

"Steve.. Steve.." He says as he crawled over to him right away, shaking him gently then two other men walk in with Robin who they throw onto the ground next. "Icarus. Steve." She quickly sat up and looked down at Steve. "Is he okay?" She asked and Icarus shrugged as he stares at Steve.

"I-I don't know," he stammered then they look up when another man walks into the room. "What did you do to him? I told you! I told you not to hurt them!" He raised his voice as he stood up on his knees weakily but the man hits him.

"Icarus," Robin whispers, moving over to him and looking down at him, he just covers his face, groaning slightly. The man orders the other men, they grab Robin first and set her onto a chair, then they do the same with Steve and Icarus.

They tie them down and Icarus looks st Steve, "Steve! Steve." He says and Robin joins in, wanting Steve to get up as well. Icarus looks at one of the men. "What did you do to him?!" Robin yells at them. The man grabs Steve by his hair, lifting up his head and Icarus glares at the man. "Get your hands off of him!" He exclaimed loudly.

The man just shook his head, clicking his tongue. "Steve? Steve, can you hear me?" Robin asked and Icarus sighed, throwing his head back. "He's knocked out, Robin, the same thing with his fight with Billy.." He whispers and Robin looks at him. "I think your friend needs a doctor." The man said to them as he walks around them.

"Good thing... we have the very best." He says as he looks at Robin, even bended down to her eye level. "I think you're full of shit." Icarus said in a vile tone, the man looks away and they all started laughing. He looks back at Robin who spits onto his face. He immediately stops yelling as Icarus grins, the man just wipes away the spit.

He looks back up at Robin who tilts her head back, "you're going to regret that, bitch." He curses at her in Russian and Icarus rolls his eyes. "You will, dumbass, after what you did to Steve!" He yells as the man leaves with the other Russians.
