a/n i'm sorry this might get a bit cringe but yk

The closer it got to summer, the more unbearable the heat got. We were in the Scottish Highlands for Merlin's sake why was it so warm?

"I only packed for the winter you know, I didn't think it'd get this hot" Vanity said as she fanned herself with an overdue potions assignment

"You know how much I'd love to stay here and chat about the weather but I have to go" I grabbed my things and ran up the stairs.

My dormmates probably thought I was off to go hang out with my friends and plan something suspicious but the truth really was that Slughorn had wanted me to help the third-year Slytherins revise for their end-of-year exams so that the Slytherin grades would be higher than the rest of the houses - which we generally were unless we had equal results to Ravenclaw.

It was a Sunday which meant the classrooms weren't in use so Professor Slughorn had Ez, Sev and I tutor the younger years here.

"Right does everyone understand why we use fairy wings and not bat wings?" I asked and everyone nodded

"Good thing they know bec I sure don't"

"Aren't you meant to be graduating next year?" Severus spat and Ez rolled her eyes

The younger snakes seemed to be doing just fine without our help. I made my way towards my littlest brother and gave him a pat on the shoulder, "Keep up the good work, you're going to take a run for my money you know?"

"Must be in our blood being good at potions and all that then"

"If that was true, Siri must be adopted"

"That would explain a lot" Ez joked

"That's your future husband you're talking about" Reg shook his head

Trying to make the least amount of noise i could possibly create, I opened the door to my dormitory

"Back so soon" Talkalot said lied on top of her bed in nothing but a bra and knickers, she was hot, physically, she was sweating also fanning herself like Vanity

"Yeah it was a bore and it's really hot"

"No shit Black, I'm just sat in Lucy's quidditch jersey and no underwear because I thought it was cold"

"Well it is maxi dress and no underwear kinda heat, i suppose" I joked but i'm not sure anyone thought it was funny

"Disgusting, I'll think twice about letting you wear my clothes again in the future, Parkinson" Emma shot a look at Maggie

I walked towards my bed to reveal a liquid beneath my quilt, "Ew what is this?"

Talkalot looked at me weirdly. She had slept with someone in my bed

"You must be having a laugh, who was it?"

"Junior"

"In my bed, that's disgusting even for you" Barty Crouch Jr. was like a brother to me and the fact he had sex with a girl in my bed disgusted me, especially the fact that it was with Lucinda

I stormed towards the Gryffindor Commons to find comfort and normality and what I found was very normal

"Pete what are they doing?" I asked Peter who was just sat on the bay window watching

"Right so basically James came in all emo because Lily rejected him for like the 112th time, and then Siri was all like "There's other girls, you know?" and James took it the wrong way and now the obvious"

James and Sirius were on the floor fighting, again

"One hundred and twelve you say," Peter nodded, "poor lad"

"It's a shame really, you and Moony have eachother, Sirius is practically dating every girl in the school, Madeleine and I are in good terms, and then there's Prongs who could have any girl in the school but the one girl he is inlove with"

Madeleine is Peter's girlfriend, I think. They started seeing eachother over Christmas, she's a nice Ravenclaw girl, but they are always breaking up and getting back together. I don't think she'll be an important character in his life next year though.

"Hey Sunflower," Remus says as he sits down next to me stroking my hair

"Sunflower" I ask looking up at my boyfriend

"You remind me of sunflowers, they're my favourite" I grin
