Naoki's POV

I really like this girl called Y/ N but I don't think she feels the same way back. I really do like her but I don't know if she feels the same way back. She came into my life about a year ago and we kinda got close. Y/ N is the shy and quiet kind of girl but I think I've brought her out of her shell a bit since we met. We met via some friends that we both know. Y/ N said she had one boyfriend ages ago but it didn't end well. He wasn't nice to her. So that's why I don't want to tell her that I like her as I think she'll reject me as she doesn't trust guys anymore after the last one. I feel like she's hiding something from me lately as she has been a bit distant from me but I hope it's not anything personal. Well I hope it isn't as i haven't been able to get her off my mind since I met her all that time ago. I want to tell her how I feel sooner rather than later. Maybe I will soon. I'm at the local supermarket picking up some groceries for my place. I go in and grab a cart and start shopping. As I go around I see a lady who looks familiar. Y/ N's mom. I've only met her a couple of times. I don't know if she'll remember me but she might. Hope she does. I go to the checkouts and stand behind her. "Oh I'm sorry" I say. "Kose Naoki" she said. "Hi, Y/ N's mom" I say. "Yes that's me" she replies. "Yeah I though I recognised you" I say. "Yeah we've met before" she said. "How are you? How's Y/ N?" I say. "I'm okay. Thanks for asking" her mom replies. "How's Y/ N? I haven't heard from her in a while" I say. "Oh you haven't. I thought the two of you were getting pretty close. She talks about you sometimes" she said. "She does?" I ask. "Yes. You're a good friend to her, Naoki. You should pop round and see her sometime. You're always welcome you should know that. I'll tell her I bumped into her and maybe it'll prompt her to get in touch with you" Y/ N's mom said. I smile. So it wasn't a weird coincidence bumping into Y/ N. Maybe I'll go to hers tomorrow and pop in to see how she is if she's in to find out what's going on

The day after and I decided to go to Y/ N's to see how she's doing. Hope she's okay and she's not keeping anything from me. I want to know how she is as she's my friend and I care about her and have feelings for her which she doesn't know yet but might soon. I get to Y/ N's place soon and knock on the door. Y/ N herself answers the door and looks surprised to see me. "Naoki" she said. "Hi, can I come in? I need to make sure you're okay" I say. "Alright no I'm fine" she replies. "Y/ N, I don't think you're fine. You've not been In touch for i don't even know how long. I just want to make sure you're okay" I say. Y/ N let's me into her house. "What's going on? Has something happened?" I ask. "No not really" she replies. "What do you mean not really?" I reply. "It's complicated I guess" she said. "What's complicated?" I ask. "You're asking a lot of questions today. Aren't you?...... look I'm sorry" Y/ N said. "Y/ N, just tell me. Look I'm your friend. I can help" I say. "Alright. Maybe I should" she said. "What is it?" I say. "Well that guy who I was going out with ages ago wants to give it a go and date again. He won't leave me alone. He keeps on harassing me and it's getting to me" she said. "Really? What's his problem. Why is he doing that?" I say. "Don't know. Don't ask me" Y/ N said. "I'll sort him out and tell him to stay away from you. "Naoki, that won't work. Please don't get aggressive with him. I don't want you to get into trouble" she said. "Okay I won't. But I don't want you getting hurt by a dick like him again. Tell him no and to stay away" I say. "I have but he won't take no as an answer" she said. "Tell him again" I say. Y/ N looks at me and sighs. "I like you Y/ N" I say. She looks at me and says "Why?". "Because I like you. I think you're a great girl who is amazing too" I say. "There are so many other girls to like besides me" she said. "Why are you saying that?" I ask. "Because I am" she said. "I don't like other girls. I only like you, Y/ N" I smile. "Please forget that I ever came into your life and like another girl instead" she said. "Why would you say that? I know you have these problems but please let me like you" I say. "You don't understand my problems, Naoki and you never will so don't try to be considerate" she said. "I am considerate as I like you, Y/ N" I say. "I'm sorry. You know this guy is getting to me" she said. "Like I said tell him where to get off and stay away from you" I say. "I'll try but again he won't take no for an answer" Y/ N said. "I think i should leave now" I say. She smiles at me. I want Y/ N to be okay. I'm worried for her and this guy who wants to back. I've heard what he's like and I don't want him to hurt her like last time. See I like her a lot and care for her. I'm probably the only guy who's liked and cared for her this much
