Han Zhen aka Hanjin has been my best friend since the start of school. I like him more than a friend but I don't know how to tell him that as he's my friend but I have feelings for him. I don't know because I've never been in this situation before where I've been close friends with a guy and had romantic feelings for him at the same time. It's just one of those things I guess. I think he likes someone else who isn't me but I really like him. It's hard when your crush likes someone else who isn't you. Hanjin wants to take someone to the formal dance thats coming up soon but he doesn't know who to take as his date. He wants me to help him ask a girl to the dance. He likes a girl who's in the cheerleading team but she's one of the popular ones. I don't wanna tell my best friend that I like him in that way. I'm shy too. Hanjin and I are at school today. It's Thursday and nearly the weekend and Hanjin and I have chemistry class together and we have a test coming up tomorrow so we are going to revise together today before tomorrow afternoon. We like to help each other revise and do well in this chemistry test. That's what friends do. Hanjin and I meet in the school library after our class. I sit down and get my stuff out while I wait for him. He comes in a few minutes later and sits down by me. "Hey, I'm here" he said. "Hey" I smile. We open our books and make revision notes together for a while till the end of the period. Hanjin and I are good revision buddies

We spend a good hour revising and complying notes for our big test coming up tomorrow. Hopefully we are going to do well. Hanjin leave the library and walk out the corridor together. We talk for a minute then Hanjin says "Hey, Y/ N. Ummmm you know I asked you about helping me find a girl to go to the formal with. There is a girl I like in the cheerleading team. I was wondering if you could help me ask her for me" Hanjin said. I hesitated for a second. Didn't know what i should say. "Errrr okay. Is it Luna you like?" I ask. "Yes it is. I guess but she probably doesn't feel the same way about me" Hanjin replies. I smiled. Later on after school, Hanjin and I go to cheerleading practice where Luna and the cheerleaders are practicing. She is one of the popular cheerleaders in school. Me and her have never really spoke much but I don't get a nice vibe from her. Hope she doesn't hurt Hanjin if she goes to the dance with him. We sit and wait for the cheerleading practice to end and wait to see Luna. "I'm feeling nervous but I want to approach her and ask her" Hanjin whispers to me. "Only do if you want" I smile. He tries to get Luna's attention by walking over to her. "Oh hey, Luna" he says. "Hi" she said. I wait in the background as I didn't want to get involved. "So how are you today, Luna?" Hanjin says nervously. "I'm good. Are you?" she replies. "Luna, I was wondering if you'd wanted to go to the formal with me that's coming up" he says. Luna didn't say anything at first so he had to repeat it. "Okay sure" she replied giving a fake smile. Looked like a fake smile to me but maybe she was just being nice. Both Hanjin and I could breathe a sigh of relief after that

It's about a month later and it's the formal dance. Hanjin is going to the dance with Luna and that's hurting me already. I am just going to stick with my girl friends I think. I just hope that Luna doesn't hurt him like I think she will. I wish I would've told him sooner how I feel about him because now he's asked someone else out, my feelings are growing stronger now. I am at the dance with my friends. I haven't seen Hanjin or Luna yet. Maybe they are running late. I just sit and wait for them to show up. My friends are concerned about me. My friend Abigail sit next to me and says "Aren't you coming to dance and have fun, Y/ N?". "Maybe later" I replied. "You're still waiting for Hanjin to show up?" Abigail asks. "Yeah I guess but he's got a date" i reply. A few minutes later, Hanjin and Luna walk through the doors. They went straight to the dance floor and danced and found the other cheerleading girls. I gave it sometime before I went to find him. I tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around. "Oh hey, Y/ N. You having fun tonight" he asks. "Hi. It's alright I guess" I laughed in return. I danced with them for a bit then found my other friends. Hanjin then took off somewhere and I couldn't see him so I went to look for him. I go outside and see Hanjin looking sad sitting outside on his own. "Hanjin, what's wrong? Are you okay?" I say. "Luna ran off with another guy. One of the jocks. I really liked her too" he sobs. I sit next to him and put my arm around him and comfort him. "It's okay. I'm here" I say. He wasn't crying but he felt upset. I understood how he felt. "Don't worry about it. Come and have a dance with me" i smile. "Maybe in a bit, Y/ N. I don't want to risk running into her again with him" Hanjin replies. "Well let's go some place else then. Ice cream. My treat okay" I say. He nods his head quietly. We go to the nice ice cream place close by and have an ice cream. It was lovely. Hanjin felt better in the end and got over that girl

Hanjin has been feeling a bit down about things since Luna dumped him at the school formal. I've told him not to worry and she wasn't worth it. I knew she would play him along and not be nice to him. It hurts me too as he's my best friend and I have feelings for him too but I haven't told him that yet but I want to soon. I feel like I'm ready now to tell Hanjin how I feel now. We are hanging out in the park this evening. We are just going for a stroll and maybe an ice cream or something to eat. I arrived at the park after walking for 30 minutes and waited for Hanjin to arrive. I sat on a bench and waited for his arrived. A few minutes passed and he was here. "Hey" I said. "Hi, Y/ N" he smiles. We chat about how we were and then we took a nice stroll around the park. After a while we sat down by a tree in the park. We both laughed in unison as we sat down. "One if my favourite places is here, the park" Hanjin said. "Yes I agree. I think it's one of mine too". We both looked at each other and we had a moment. A moment of silence fell. "There is something I need to tell you...." we both said at the same time. Jinx. We caught each other by surprise. "No go on you first, Y/ N. Ladies first" Hanjin said. "I-I-I think I'm ready to tell you this now, Jinnie. Ummm I don't know if you're thinking the same thing but I like you. I like you more than a friend and have sone for a while. It really hurt me seeing you go to the dance with Luna and it hurt me even more what she did to you. Maybe I should've asked you sooner" I say. Hanjin hesitates for a moment. "Well I was going to say the same thing actually. I have feelings for you, Y/ N but I guess I was too blind to see that. Can't wait didn't ask you to the dance but the next one I promise I will. I thought I liked Luna but she wasn't the girl I thought she was. It's always been you, Y/ N. Forever and always. I can finally say that now" Hanjin said. "Well it's always been you too, Jinnie. I have feelings for someone amazing for the first time" I say. We kiss awkwardly as we lean into each other. Wow the moment felt good. Things worked out with Hanjin for the best and we finally admitted our feelings for each other

TWS are good but not my fave new group of this year. Looking forward to their comeback though. Not sure on a bias yet
