Brian and I have been best and close friends for years. Since we were in high school. We both grew up in Canada together but last year Brian moved to Seoul in Korea to peruse a career in the kpop industry. He debuted in group Ampers&One and I haven't seen him since he left for the show last year. I miss him so much and I miss hanging out with him. He's my best friend and I've always had feelings for him that have never gone away. I've always been a shy and insecure girl and found it hard to express myself through words and actions. Brian knows I'm quite a shy and insecure person but he's never said anything to me like he has feelings for me so I'm wondering. I am scared to tell Brian how I feel about him as I've never expressed my feelings to a guy before and it's not really me. Brian must be surrounded by Kpop girls all the time like NewJeans, Le Sserafim and IVE who are all so beautiful. I wish I looked like them. He always said I'm too insecure about myself and I need to love myself more. Anyway I have been planning a surprise trip to Korea to see Brian at Christmas. He doesn't know I'm coming as it's a surprise of course. I can't wait to see my best friend in his home and at my favourite time of year too. It's the day before Christmas Eve and my sister had just dropped me off at the airport for my flight to Seoul. It's my first time travelling abroad on my own so I'm a little nervous but I'll be okay when I see Brian. Luckily I know where he lives with his members. I can't wait to see his reaction when I show up at his door in many hours to come. Roll on the flight. I'm planning on staying in Korea till New Year's Day

Half a day later I arrive in Seoul. My first time in this wonderful city and I love it already. I'm on my way in a cab to where Ampers&One live. Can't wait to surprise Brian now. I'm nervous that he'll be shocked though when he sees me in front of him. I am on my way to see Brian now at the Ampers&One apartment. I get out of the cab with my stuff and make my way up to the door. I knock on the door and one of they boys answers. It was Kyrell. "Hi" he said. "Hello, is Brian there" I say. "Yeah" he said. He seemed a bit shy. Awww. A waited a couple of minutes for Brian to come and he did. He opened the door and couldn't believe it was me. "Y/ N, what the hell are you doing here? No way" he exclaims. "I've come all the way to surprise you, Bri. It's been ages" I say. "You ain't kidding, bestie. Come here" Brian said pulling me in for a big warm hug. Damn I've missed his hugs. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" he asks. "It's a surprise and it's Christmas. I didn't want to say a word" I reply. "I think you should meet the boys" he smiles. Brian takes me into the apartment and introduces me to the boys. "Guys, there is someone I'd like you to meet. She's come all the way from Canada to surprise me. This is my best friend. Y/ N" he said. "Hi Jude to meet you, Y/ N" Mackiah said. "Hey" Seungmo smiles. "You must lo... I mean like Brian a lot to come all this way to surprise him" Kamden said. "Nice to meet you, Y/ N" Jiho said. I sit down and talk to them for about half an hour or so. I was tired. The flight was long so I wanted to crash soon. Brian said I can sleep in his bed as long as I stay and he'll take the couch which is lovely of him. "Are you sure about this? About me having your bed?" I reply. "Yeah yeah absolutely. Don't be silly. You need to sleep comfortably. I'm great on the couch. It's not so bad" Brian replies. "Thank you, Bri. You're the best friend I've ever had" i reply. "I glad I am, Y/ N. I can't believe you came all this way. Merry Christmas" he smiles putting his arms around me. "Merry Christmas to you too, Brian" I reply. I slept well in Brian's bed and i can't tell you how amazing it is to be in Korea for Christmas with my bestie

Brian and I spent Christmas together with the boys. His family from Canada knew I was going over to see him so they gave me some gifts for him to open on Christmas. Brian is taking be out today. We are going to Seoul for a walk around to see all the beautiful lights and decorations and we are probably going ice skating too. I remember doing that in Canada when we were young. It's still on my kind about telling Brian how I feel but I don't want to ruin the mood or our friendship. I'm just enjoying being in Korea with my best friend in the world. Enjoying some bestie time with him. Anyway we just got out into the city of Seoul now. It's not raining but it's wet. We don't mind as we are looking at the beautiful lights and decorations in the city. "Do you remember last Christmas back home?" Brian asks. "Yes I do of course. I remember it like it was yesterday" I reply. He laughs. So we walked for a while then we stopped to get a drink at a cafe. We both got hot chocolate topped with cream and marshmallows. Yum yum! "There's nothing like a hot drink on a cold winters day" I say. "Quite right I agree" Brian smiles. We also got gingerbread man cookies too. I was staring right into Brian's eyes as we were talking. Next we went to do ice skating. Something we used to do when we were younger back home but we've not done it in ages. "You might need to hold my hand" I said as we step onto the ice. "I've got you, bestie" Brian replies. I grip hold of his hand and we start skating around. Luckily it wasn't busy. My heart was skipping a beat as Brian was holding my hand. We staked into the middle of the ice. He took me round in circles and spun me around till he nearly made me dizzy. He caught me in his arms and looks me deeply in the eyes. "Y/ N, this is the perfect moment to say this to you" Brian said. "Okay" I smiled. "I wish you would stop being so insecure about yourself. You are a beautiful girl on the inside and outside and I love that about you. I don't care if you don't looks like Kpop girls. Looks are not everything but you are beautiful no matter what. Y/ N, what I'm trying to say is, you're my best friend but I have feelings for you" Brian said. I hesitated for a second as I didn't know how to respond. "Brian, you're so sweet and adorable and I love that about you. You're my best friend and I have feelings for you too that I can't hide. That's partly why I came all this way to surprise you. I wouldn't have done it otherwise" I say. "Y/ N, I was hoping you'd say the same back. I only want you" Brian smiles. "Me too" I say. "I think this is the perfect time to kiss a little" he said. Brian looks me in the eyes and leans in and kisses me on the lips. We kiss for a few seconds and then carry on skating. Before my trip ended, he asked me to be his and I said yes of course

One year later, Christmas 2024. Brian and I have been officially a couple for a year now. From best friends to lovers like that in exactly a year. So much has happened in a year. We have been apart for most of it but we are together in Canada now spending Christmas with both of our families. They are so happy for both Brian and I being together happily. Brian's parents are away for new year and we are staying in their house just chilling and spending time together. For Christmas Brian got me a lovely necklace which was expensive and I love it. I didn't get him that much or anything as expensive as that but he said it didn't matter as long as he's got me. He loves me that much. Anyway we are going to sit down in front of the TV and watch a good Disney movie on Disney+. We are in our matching Christmas pjs too. Brian is getting the snacks ready for the movie. I'm switching on the TV. He comes in with the snacks and drinks on a tray. "Here we are. All set" Brian says. "Cool" I smile. "We haven't decided on a movie yet" he said. "Don't worry. Plenty to choose from on here" I reply. Brian and I spend a while looking through to see what choices they have. We couldn't really decide but we ended up going for Aladdin in the end. A feel good one. We will watch more later. Brian and I snuggle close together on the couch and munch on snacks as we watch the movie. He looks at me and kisses my neck and whispers to me "I love you, Y/ N. I love you more than anything". "I love you too, Bri. More than anything too" I smile. We enjoyed another two movies after Aladdin and just enjoyed chilling together before Brian has to go back to Korea in the new year. Don't want him to go. I'll see him again soon when I go over

I love Ampers&one's debut I think they are amazing. The songs are so listenable and fun. I think they're a great group and a can't wait to hear more from them. My bias would be Mackiah. He stood out for me a lot and I love his name too
