Chapter Seventeen

"Sunny? Why are you crying?" I say caressing his cheek frowning

"Are you okay? What happened? Oh I had a strange dream abou-" he interrupts my sentence by hugging me

I start to burn "h-hey Sunny?! Wh-what's wrong?" I say trying to remain calm

"Why?" He says, I can feel his tears fall on my shoulder

"Eh? Why what?"

"Why would you say all that? Why would you go out of your way to defend someone like me!?"

I gasp, "n-no way Sunny were our dreams really connected!?"

"Of course they were you idiot!" He hugs me tighter

"So why!? Huh!? I've done so much wrong and yet!.."

I smile and hug him back "because I care for you Sunny, you're one of my best friends and I would do anything for my best friends"

We pull away slowly, I wipe his tears "I know what happened wasn't your fault, I know how you felt, our feelings were shared right?"

"It's not your fault. So stop pushing yourself about it okay?"

He begins to cry and we hug again.

After a few minutes we pull away, I smile warmly at him

"That's so cool though! I wish my dreams were as powerful as yours!" I said excited

He chuckles, "if only you knew..." He says quietly

"Knew what? Hm?" I say getting closer to him

"Nothing...how long was I out for?" He asks

"Hm... About 3 weeks? Maybe?"

"That much?...were you worried about me?.." he looks at me with hopeful eyes

I get flustered, "of course I was! I actually visited everyday haha..."

"Really? Am I that important to you?" He asks

I nod my head "I'm sure that's the reason why I'm special to you too huh?" I say

Now it's his turn to get flustered, his cheeks turn a light pink

He looks away "a-actually there's another reason too..." He says

I tilt my head "what is it?" I ask

"I'll tell you when I'm ready...is that okay with you?" He says

"Yeah, take your time" I say

... silence...

"So what now?" I ask looking around, suddenly I hear a stomach growl

I turn to see Sunny and laugh "let's go eat" I say, he nods his head.
