EMILY PUT the phone down, whipping her tears another time. Hurt overcame her feelings, a tight feeling in her chest. She wanted to have a whole mental breakdown but she chose not to. She chose not to, because she knows she can be better than Mason. She knows she shouldn't cry for a boy.
