"Echo 3-1 do you copy?" You said, tuning into Alex's radio. You heard no response. "Echo 3-1! Do you copy?" you asked again, and once again there was no response.

You began to put the pieces together, you thought your brother was injured. "ALEX!" you yelled again. Alex heard it all, he looked down at his radio, listening to his sister's voice for the last time.

He threw it to the side and hit the detonation button. The whole place blew up. You watched from the outside, staring at the place your brother was once in, soon the static of the radio turned into silence. You felt your eyes get misty. You knew he didn't make it out of there.

You took your helmet off and stared at the explosions. The sound of people telling you to get out of there was almost tuned out by others screaming at you to get out of there.

At that moment you vowed to never be a part of anything like this ever again. Not without Alex, never without Alex.
