Chapter 23

Aries

"I want to take care of you, please. Let me." She said. "You look so tired. You work late and your sleeping schedule is fucked. Don't intimidate me into submitting right now. Please. Just...just let me care for you, Aries."

I sighed in defeat. "Okay."

She grabbed my hand and led me to our bedroom. She guided me to the bed and sat me down before she headed inside the bathroom. I heard the sound of the jets and water filling up the tub and I was impatient as I waited for her to step back out.

Fifteen minutes later, the water was off and I could smell something sweet but not overly sweet fill the air. Nova stepped out and grabbed my hands, and I stood up.

"I'm just going to undress you, okay?"

I nodded my head. Her fingers went to the hem of my t-shirt, and I lifted my hands as she tugged it off. She placed it on the bed and then went for my pants.

She tugged them down along with my boxers and got down to the ground so she could help me step out of them. Even while undressing me, she kept those beautiful soulful eyes on me.

She stood back up and reached for my hands and spun around as she walked me to the bathroom. The tub was full, light steam coming out of it, a few candles on the sink lit, and the sweet aroma filled the air.

She held my hand as she helped me into the tub and once inside and seated, I almost moaned like a girl. God, it was the perfect temperature and soothing as I rested my head back. She leaned over and kissed my forehead.

"I'll be right back. Just relax, okay?"

"Okay."

She stepped out of the bathroom and headed out of the room since I couldn't see her anymore. The tub came with the bathroom, and I never soaked in it. It felt like something only women did, but as I sat there in the not-too-hot water, I felt my muscles unclench and my body go limp as I relaxed. It was nice, actually....it was more than nice.

The candles added this soft comforting aura and the smell of what I knew was lavender did something to calm my senses. I didn't think much of having Nova tend to me like this, but I think I rather enjoyed it.

I've never had a woman run me a bath or decline sex because the thought of caring for me was a better option. Nova stepped back in with a cup of Whiskey in her hand and she handed it to me as she sat on the edge. I sat up straighter and took a few sips of the stiff drink. 

"I ordered us some dinner." She spoke as she ran her fingers through my curls. "How are you feeling?"

"Good." I leaned into her hand and kissed the palm of it. "Thank you."

She smiled sweetly. "I didn't do anything, Aries. Also, Aden is finally going to propose to Leila tonight. She messaged Rosie and me before you got home."

It was my turn to smile. "I like that you're friends now."

"On your Instagram, you have a picture of you two together." She pointed out suddenly.

"I do, yeah. We were at a concert together."

She hummed, nodding her head. "I saw."

I smirked up at her and reached over to set my cup down. "Did you stalk me, Nova Hale?"

"Yes, I did." She admitted without hesitating.

"You seem almost jealous, baby."

"I am."

I gave her a dubious look. "You want me to delete the photo or something?"

"Or maybe you can post a photo of us together?" She suggested.
