Aries

I knocked on the door and even rang it twice before Leila swung it open, looking disheveled. She ran her hands over her messy hair and smiled.

"Hey, Aries. You're early."

"Your shirt is on backward." I noticed when I let myself in. I closed the door after me, and she looked down before chuckling. "I'm guessing Alex isn't in yet."

"No, he's on his way."

I walked to the living room, where Aden was zipping up his pants.

"Ugh, were you two having sex? I told you I'd be here early." My nose wrinkled.

"Your early always means late," Aden mumbled. "Anyways, what did you want to talk about?"

"We'll talk when Alex comes. Should I let you two finish?" I teased, and Leila's hand smacked the back of my head. "Okay, I deserve that. Where are my babies?" I sat on the couch, and Leila passed me and sat down next to Aden.

"Ariana is in kindergarten with Ashton, and Alias is in daycare with Angel," Aden explained, his hand wrapping around his wife's waist.

"Why do you look so nervous? And you're here early when you never are. Did you fight with Nova?" Leila asked.

"No, I didn't fight with Nova. We're good. She's helping her sister redecorate her room. I dropped her off and came here. I'm not nervous."

That was a total fucking lie. I was really fucking nervous.

"Can you see where Alex is?"

I rubbed my hands down on my pants, and Aden gave me a weird look before taking out his phone. The doorbell rang; Leila patted Aden's thigh, then got up to open the door. They greeted each other at the door, and then Alex walked into the living room.

"Do you guys want some coffee or tea?" Leila asked.

"Coffee, please," Alex said.

"Two coffees, baby," Aden said.

"No, I don't want anything. Alex, sit down." I urged.

"What's wrong with him?"

"I don't know. He came here early and looks ready to faint. Just sit, and let's see what Aries wants from us." Aden spoke, leaning back.

Alex sat down in front of me, and I cleared my throat. "Okay, I...I want to propose to Nova."

"Oh my god!" I could hear Leila screeching from the kitchen, and I rubbed my face in annoyance. She came running back. "Are you serious?" She started clapping her hands. "Oh, you guys. Our little baby Aries is growing up." She pinched my cheeks, and I swatted her hands away.

"Aden, get your wife," I grumbled.

She laughed and headed back rapidly to grab the coffee before taking the seat next to me. She kept staring at me with too much excitement that I had to put my hand up so I wouldn't see her.

"Anyways, I want to propose to Nova. I need you two idiots to help me. I don't know how you guys got your wives to marry you, but you must've done something right."

"I didn't really ask my wife," Alex mumbled. "We were at the place we had our first time together, and then I sort of just demanded she marries me." He reached for his coffee while I stared at him with wide eyes.

"You just demanded it?" I pinched the bridge of my nose. "Okay, I don't want to demand it, plus I want to give her a proposal story. Every girl wants to have an amazing proposal story."
