2 years later
After a long celebration with family and friends, Jungkook finally returned home from his military enlistment. During dinner, he tried to contact his girlfriend but had no luck. Whenever he was able to speak with Nat, she informed him about the overtime that she had been doing at her workplace in Toronto.
Nat told him that she was unable to come on the day that he returned from the military but she planned to come to South Korea, the following week. Honestly, Jungkook was a little saddened by the news but at least he getting to see her next week.
Jungkook inhaled deeply as soon he entered his apartment. The lights were on from his mother stopping by to stalk his refrigerator with some home-cooked food to eat and to drop off a special present.
He bent down to remove his boots when he noticed a pair of black heels near his other shoes.
"Welcome home," a familiar voice said
Jungkook stood up and smiled wide.
Nat laughed walking out of his bedroom. Jungkook opened up his arm awaiting her. Nat ran into her boyfriend's open arms. Jungkook hugged her tightly and took in her sweet vanilla scent.
" You said next week!" Jungkook exclaimed
" I lied but only because I wanted to surprise you. I have another surprise for you," Nat grinned
"What is it?" Jungkook asked
"I'm staying. I got a promotion as a Business Research Analyst in the Korean branch of my company," Nat announced
Jungkook lifted Nat and spun around with excitement.
"You're home!" Jungkook exclaimed
"Yes, I'm home," Nat giggled.
Jungkook kissed her quickly. He picked her up and carefully threw her over his shoulder.
"Jungkook-ah!" Nat exclaimed
"You're home now, you know what that means," Jungkook answered heading to the bedroom
Nat took his beret and placed it on her silk-pressed hair which would not be straight for long.
"Yes sir!" Nat saluted
