The Cover Blown Within

She just froze staring into the defined eyes of Blake.

He stood there waiting for an answer.

Danielle then spoke into her watch. "Alyssa hurry and get here now, But don't... ".

But it was to late. Alyssa than appeared immediately out of nowhere.

"How did she do that?" He asked staring at Danielle.

"Hears the deal" Danielle started to explain "Were part of a Magic act and Alyssa the Magician and I'm her assistant".

Danielle then mind message Alyssa. "Play along. So our cover isn't blown".

"Oh yes, We are like awesome Magicians" Alyssa exclaimed.

"I don't believe you, Because I know your Mysticals" He answered.

"What no" Danielle responded.

"They don't exist" Alyssa exclaimed.

"I know because I can read minds" Blake explained.

"So you knew about our plan" Alyssa asked.

"Pretty much" He shrugged.

"Wait, How did you have powers?" Danielle asked curiously.

"When I started working for the person that's stealing your powers" Blake responded.

"Why won't you tell us who it is?" Alyssa asked.

"And what's up with Mackenzie, She has such a bad attitude. Why are you working with her?" Danielle questioned.

"Mackenzie is not working with me she's my cousin. But ever since a week ago she been acting bossy and mean. Then yesterday she demanded that I give her top secret information. So I decided I should just give it to her" Blake answered

"Why would you just give her that information?" Alyssa asked.

"Well.. At that point it's like someone told me to do it other then her. But when I read her mind I found out what was wrong with her." He responded.

"What was it?" Danielle asked.

"She was possessed" Blake replied.

"By who?" Alyssa questioned.

"Sharna" Blake replied.
