Finesse by Drake played through the speakers of Shikamaru's car. The two teens were now on their way to Target. They were just talking about their lives, family, school, etc.

she responded in a somewhat joking but quiet tone. Shikamaru notice and raised an eyebrow, then asked in a semi-concerned voice-

The girl shook her head. Shikamaru knew how stressful stuff like this could be. This whole year is basically about applying and picking what colleges you want to attend. Just from hanging out with Y/n these few months, he could somewhat tell that she isn't one to be particularly open with things that bother her. They had never talked about anything serious and then again, they'd only known each other for about 4 months.

Y/n blushed. The comfort he brought to her in that last sentence was crazy. The way Shikamaru talked to her just then- so delicate and comforting. Y/n had never expressed any problem to him and this just made her feelings for Shikamaru even deeper. "Dang...do I really like him like that?"  Y/n thought to herself.
