     "And you think she's worth it?!" My mother yelled slamming her hands on my table leaving a small crack

"Was this your idea of a family dinner? To come into my home and destroy things just like your marriage with my father is gone!" I yelled back

I can't take it anymore, I can't... I haven't seen Olivia for two weeks and it's driving me crazy that she was hospitalised and she refused to see me. Thank God her sister and father didn't die!
Not only for this mother of mine to call her all sorts of names because she's what? Black?

"Don't you dare speak to mother like that" Warren growled

"Oh fuck off! Who do you really think you are?"

The kids gasped

Shit.. I forgot we had little kids at the table

"Take your kids upstairs Brittany" I stated cooly "I'll see you guys later my darlings okay" I smiled at them as they hugged me one after the other before ascending up the stairs

"As long as I am alive, you will not have anything to do with that woman, you will marry who I want you to" she stated

"I will marry who I want, I am not my brother and I'll never be.. So when it comes to Mae, you'll choose a man for her yeah?"

"Of course I will"

"You're so pathetic" I scoffed "I should have known, my father married a pathetic racist"

"Speak to me in that tone again and I'd have-"

"You will do no such thing to him" my father walked into the dining room

"So you will let him say all-" he cut her off

"I'd let him say the truth, indeed this marriage is over, we're only still with the same name because of media purposes"

She gasped, she was shocked

"What's wrong if he's interested in Olivia, she's a smart woman and she's got ambitions. Unlike the one you gave to this son of yours to marry"

Warren's palms were clenched, an angry scowl on his face

"If you won't be a mother that supports her son, I'd get my lawyer and have the divorce files ready" he stated, serving himself pasta

"You would do no such thing" she seethed

"Dare me" he had a toothy smile on his face making me chuckle

She turned to look at me angrily

"I will never accept that woman into my family"

"She won't be your family if you're gone by then" Mae butt in

"You're in on this too? Defying and insulting your mother"

"You're driven by nothing but hate and your selfish reasons. Not everyone will be like warren. Learn to accept that. Did Warren tell you he had a girlfriend before you even proposed this one he's spending the rest of his life with" she snapped

Warren's eyes widening in fear

"Did he also tell you, he had to abandon the child his girlfriend was carrying because you forced him into this useless marriage!" She snapped at my mum again

Shock written on both our parents faces

"Well good thing he got rid of her and that child. Wouldn't want a child out of wedlock" my mother stated plainly

Like she didn't care

Looking at my brother's face, he was in pain

"He had two kids for your information mother. Two" I said
