Jack, is a traveler.

The process of traveling to other worlds in the modern age isn't exactly novel. For Jack, it all started with an unexpected car accident as he was sitting in the backseat of a taxi.

But as he crossed over into this new world, he couldn't help but feel like the "accident" was a little suspicious. He remembered the words of the taxi driver who had brought him here: "Congratulations, boy, I was just about to finish my shift."

At the time, Jack had just come out of the hospital with his own physical examination sheet and was feeling pretty down. He had late stage cancer and only had a few months to live.
Out of politeness, he forced a smile and replied, "Is there anything to congratulate me for, sir? I'm all battered and bruised."

"That's exactly why I'm congratulating you," the driver had said.

At the time, Jack had been in a bad mood and almost spat out his response. But he managed to hold his tongue and didn't say anything. Now, however, he couldn't help but feel terrified.

Did the driver mean that he was congratulating Jack on being sent to this new world because he was the last person to make the journey that day?

Has the process of traveling to other worlds become such a common occurrence these days? Did the driver intentionally cause a car accident to send Jack through to this world?

Waking up with peace and stability is supposed to be a good thing, right? So why does the process of traveling to other worlds seem so shady?

Despite all these misgivings, Jack was still grateful for the opportunity he had been given. When he was facing a desperate situation in his old world, this new one had given him a chance to start over.

He had also been given a special gift, or "golden finger," as it is popularly known. This golden finger would help him become stronger.

"Why do I have to work so honestly to become stronger?" Jack sighed to himself, feeling a little helpless.

His golden finger was a "Work System". Only the income he earned through his own profession could be counted as experience points. He needed to earn $10,000 to get a single point of experience. At first, this made him feel a little lost and cheated.

As an entry-level auto mechanic, Jack needed ten points of experience to upgrade to a junior mechanic, which took him several months. This was all thanks to his knowledge of the world of "Fast and Furious," and with the help of Toretto.

Of course, once he had established himself and built up his reputation, Jack had been able to earn experience points much faster, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to quickly upgrade from a mid-level mechanic to a senior mechanic in recent years.

It takes 10 points to go from beginner to junior, 100 points to go from junior to intermediate, and so on. Now, Jack was finally about to upgrade from intermediate to advanced, which would equate to earning a total of $11 million in this profession.

But this was only calculated based on Jack's own work like personally designing, remodeling, and repairing cars. He had also tried giving money to others and letting them spend it on finding repairs, but that wasn't included in the experience value. He had tried many other methods too, but none of them worked, so he eventually gave up on the idea of taking shortcuts.

There were still plenty of ways to make money in the automotive industry, and even though Jack wasn't an economics graduate in his previous life, he still had a good understanding of the current market.

He knew that companies like Nokia, Samsung, Apple, Microsoft, and Facebook were all still around, even if the specifics of their histories were a bit murky. Jack knew that he might not be able to become a business tycoon, but he figured he could at least buy some stocks.
