"Five minutes remaining in the game."

That's when you heard the sound of gunshots again. This time, they were fired back to back with only the sound of reloading as the break. You heard things clang, and the sound of a fight occurring.

"You're thinking too much of it. Don't worry about them." Chishiya said, holding onto your arm and leading you to the room on floor 4.

Once you the sounds deafened, the blonde let go of your arm. You walked right beside him and saw Arisu right by the door.

"Figured it out too, huh?" The doctor approached the door.

Arisu put his hand around the metal doorknob without turning it. "Yeah, the symbol's in here."

You and Chishiya stared at his hand before looking back up at him; your friend spoke up first. "You gonna open it?"

Still nothing from the black haired male. Sighing, you told Arisu to move over as you put your hand onto the cold doorknob and turned it. The doorknob cranked as you opened the creaky door. You were the first to step into the dark room. From first sight, it looked like any normal empty apartment, plain walls and everything intact.

"Why was he chasing us? He could've just waited." Arisu asked for an answer, hoping that he'd get some type of answer.

However, the only immediate answer he got was from Chishiya. "Guess there's something we don't know."

You searched around the room, stepping further before finding another door. "It's definitely-"

"Look out!" Arisu shouted suddenly.

Chishiya turned around before you could and he fell to the ground, making sure to drag you down with him so you wouldn't get shot. The sound of gunshots were even louder now that you were in such close distance from the shooter. You looked up at the horse headed man and realized that death himself was basically standing right in front of you. Chishiya pulled a taser out of his jacket pocket and turned it on before pressing it to the tagger's abdomen. You watched the man fall to the ground panting. In this time, you moved over right next to the door that you found before the tagger had found you three.

Both of the males beside you stood up, while you stayed on the ground.

"Never hurts to be prepared." You heard the doctor say.

However, as you watched the shooter, he pulled out his gun. You immediately opened the door and pushed the two males in. He started firing his gun as soon as you stood up to enter the room, causing you to get grazed by two bullets. Lucky for you, you were able to close the door and lock it before you were shot in any lethal places.

The lights immediately flickered on and you turned to look at the door. The handle was rattling, but there were no signs that the tagger would be able to get in any time soon. The three of you were panting, desperately trying to catch your breaths.

You all noticed that on two sides of the wall, there were yellow boxes with red buttons. Under them it read 'push both buttons at once to clear the game.'

Arisu was already up and running to the button, waiting for either you or Chishiya to make your way to the other one. They both knew that you were hurt, but they had to end the game first before they would be able to do anything. You pushed yourself up against the wall by the door's entrance, allowing you to lean back and sit.

"Shit." Your doctor friend cursed once he looked at you.

He pushed himself off of the floor and got over to the button, but before they were able to press the button, a bullet shot through the lock of the door. The door was kicked open and in walked the tagger. He hadn't noticed you yet because of his mask, he only saw Chishiya and Arisu standing by the buttons. His gun was pointed at Chihshiya when he began shooting. Your friend was able to dodge the first couple rounds, and since the tagger hadn't moved standing positions yet, the adrenaline in your body allowed you to quickly stand up and kick the back of his knee. He fell to the ground and groaned.

You turned to the two who were stunning by the buttons. "Hurry up and press it!"

They both pressed the button, effectively ending the game.

"Game cleared. Congratulations."

Once the announcement ended, you turned to the tagger, only to realize that their mask was off, and it was a female and not a male. In the split second you felt bad for assuming her gender, but she started sobbing. Her voice was breaking and her breath hitched. The collar on her neck began to flash blue and beeped. It was a matter of seconds before the collar exploded and killed her. The tagger's blood splattered everywhere, most of it went behind her. That meant that you were sprayed with her blood.

Before you were able to worry about that, you watched her boldly slump forward, revealing Chishiya who was just just watching you with intense interest.

Once Arisu left the room, you didn't care for the blood that was splattered on the wall behind you. There wasn't any adrenaline left in your system. You fell back and laid against the wall.

With one thing you wanted to do before you left, you asked Chishiya to do it for you. "Can you check her pockets for answers maybe? Or check a few of the peoples'?"

He wanted to help you and tend to your wounds first, and you could tell. "Alright. Right after, we're leaving."

The first corpse that he checked was the tagger's. He opened one of the pockets on her camo cargo pants. Chishiya slipped his hand into the pocket and pulled out a small white sheet of paper. You watched a few feet away as he unfolded the paper, and you couldn't help but notice his eyebrows raise.

"What is it?"

He flipped the paper over to show you. "I'm not sure yet actually, but come on. We're going, it's not safe for you here."

Chishiya walked over to you and lent you a hand as support as you got up. On the whole way to the elevator, you couldn't help but look around you. The once clean and almost new looking apartment complex was now covered in blood splatters and corpses of dead bodies.

As the elevator door closed, your friend looked at the bullet grazes. One was on the left arm, and the other was on the right side of your neck. The graze on the neck thankfully wasn't that bad compared to the one on the arm. Even still, there was a lot of blood coming out of both the wounds.

"Do we have a ride back?" You asked your friend while the elevator descended down the floors.

He gave you an unsure frown. "We should, but I can't be sure."

Walking out of the elevator, you noticed the white table where the 5 of spades card was. You picked it up and handed it to Chishiya since you didn't have anywhere to store it for safekeeping. When he took the card from you, somehow your hands touched for a split second. His hands were incredibly warm and soft.

You didn't know, but Chishiya was dying for a moment like that; a moment where he would have an excuse for touching your hand. Your hands felt just as soft as they looked. Out of nowhere, the thought of someone else holding your hand made it to his head, and he couldn't bear to think about it.
