i blink myself awake, feeling something rising and falling under me. i look at olivia, eyes widening. i roll off her, looking at her again. "how the hell..." i whisper. "you didn't sleep with me," olivia whispers. "no, but how the fuck did i end up on top of you?" i ask. "you were drunk last night," she explains. "i know that," i remember, "did i say anything stupid?" olivia smiles. "tell me," i say. "no," she says. "rodrigo!" i sit up. "aren't you supposed to be having a hangover?" she asks. "no, i don't get hangovers. bullet holes in my body heal in a couple days, why would i have a hangover?" i say. "yet you can't remember when you're drunk." "i can remember a few things, but stop changing the subject. what did i say?" i ask. "i'm not telling," olivia laughs. "don't make me go outside and put a snowball down your jeans." "that's inappropriate," olivia notes, "nothing that bad. you just asked if i would say yes if you asked me out." "oh," i say, "what did you say?" "not telling. shame you can't remember," she sighs teasingly. "asshole," i laugh. "okay, i just said we shouldn't talk about it because you were drunk." "fair," i sigh. "i know you're still hurt," she says. i knew she was referring to our past relationship. "it's not something that goes away overnight," i admit. "i know." "just give me time," i say. "okay." we stay quiet for a few seconds, and i get out of the bed. "i'm gonna make breakfast," i say. "it's 1 in the afternoon." "brunch, then. hurry up and get out of bed or else i won't make you anything," i say, walking out the door. "you were the one laying on top of me!"

"now," i clear my throat, taking out a carton of eggs, and placing them on the kitchen counter, in front of olivia, "eggs." she smiles, looking at the eggs, then me.

after brunch, we decide to go skiing/snowboarding. "are you good at snowboarding?" olivia asks. "well i'm not bad," i say, "i bet you're bad." "i've done it like... twice. of course i'm gonna be pretty bad," she laughs. "can't wait to see you fall," i say. "i never fall," olivia smiles.

i smile at olivia's camera as she puts her phone up to my goggles. she laughs, smiling as she takes a picture of herself through my googles' reflection.

olivia and i get on a ski lift. i pull my goggles onto my head, and olivia looks at me. i laugh, looking away. "why're you laughing?" she asks, laughing too. "because you look funny," i say. "look? you can't even see my face." "exactly," i say. she pulls up her goggles, "better?" "i didn't say they weren't better," i laugh.

we walk back into the house and i couldn't stop laughing. "you never fall, huh?" i look at olivia. "shut up!" she laughs, hitting my arm. "oh, that was funny," i continue to laugh.

i walk back to my room, taking off all the heavy clothes. wearing my suit under normal clothes would've been fine if i had the heat radiator on. i walk to the bathroom, putting on a black bikini. i walk down to the bottom level, walking to the jacuzzi. i dip my foot in, stepping in.

i sit down, closing my eyes after placing my glasses on the side. i had almost fallen asleep before i hear talking. i open my eyes, seeing everyone walking in, wearing swimmers. i look at olivia, who wore a blue bikini. "someone else had the same idea," zendaya says, looking at me. "hello to you all too," i say, closing my eyes, and leaning my head back. i hear multiple splashes as everyone gets in. "for being out in the snow for hours," olivia says beside me, "this is a relief."

i cup the water with my hands, pouring it on my head. "peed in here a couple seconds ago, by the way," conan says. "shut up," i laugh, splashing him.

i look behind me, pressing down a small panel, which opens up. i press a button that turns on the bubbles, closing it. "i didn't know there was bubbles," iris says. "yeah, it's hidden," i say, leaning back and closing my eyes again.

i scrunch my face as i feel a hot hand go over my face, smothering the bubbles on me as everyone joins into one conversation. olivia giggles, wiping the bubbles down to my neck. "child," i mumble. i open my eyes, looking at olivia as she collects more bubbles, picking them up. i groan as olivia rubs it all on my face, rubbing it on my lips as she laughs. "you're disgusting," i say, wiping the remaining bubbles off my lips. "okay, i'll stop," liv says, after her laughter dies down.

i open my eyes, getting bubbles. i turn to olivia, wiping it on her face. she tries to look away, laughing through my hand. "see how you like it?" i ask, laughing. i pull my hand away, smiling as she wipes her face. "you're gonna get it," olivia laughs. she puts me into a headlock, wrapping one arm around the back of my neck. i laugh as she pushes me into the water. i sit back up, face all wet. "i underestimated your strength," i say, wiping my face from the top down. "want seconds?" she asks. "no, but i know you're dying to have some!" i wrap my arms around olivia's waist, pulling us into the water with a splash.

we come up after a few seconds, both of us laughing. "okay, we're even," olivia smiles.

zendaya, billie. conan and iris decide to cook the tacos tonight. "are you sure you guys know how to cook them?" i ask. "yes, we know how to cook tacos," zendaya laughs, towel wrapped around her. "okay, good luck," i smile as they all walk out.

i look at olivia, moving to the other side of the jacuzzi. her mouth drops, looking at me, offended. "do i smell?" she asks. "a little," i joke. "so rude," she mumbles, looking down at the water and shuffling in her spot. next thing i know, olivia's feet were on my lap. "ew!" i laugh, pushing them off. "my legs are sore," olivia complains, frowning. "then put it on the seat thing," i say. she tries, chin almost under the water. "i can't reach," she laughs. "fine," i say. she gives a smile, placing her feet on my thighs. "hungry?" i ask. "not yet," olivia responds, "by the way, thank you." "for the foot rest? no problem." olivia chuckles, "for this. you're making my birthday a lot better, and stress-free," she smiles, "and the foot rest." i smile back, "gotta count the days where we aren't the same age." "grandma," she laughs. "okay," i push olivia's feet off with a laugh. "hey!" she laughs, putting her feet back on my thighs.

my phone starts to ring, and it was on the other side of the jacuzzi. olivia looks over, smiling as she wipes her hand on the small towel places on the edge. "your girlfriend's calling," she says, picking up my phone and handing it to me. i look at my phone, seeing teagan calling.

i take my phone, shaking my head. i swipe to answer, bring my phone to my ear. "hey y/n," teagan says. "hey," i smile, "how's filming?" "filming's tiring," she laughs, "how's your vacation?" "it's great, honestly. nothing to worry about right now," i say. olivia stares at me with a cheeky smile. "that's good," teagan says, "yeah, just wanted to check up and see how you're doing." "thanks. i'd call you, but i know you're busy," i say. "fair. i'm gonna call my other friend, i'll talk to you later," she says. "alright, see you, have fun filming." "thanks, have fun at your ski house, bye," she says, hanging up.

i place my phone on the floor. "not my girlfriend," i continue olivia and i's conversation. "oh, not your girlfriend? what was that smile then?" she teases, smiling. "oh, suddenly i'm not allowed to smile when i'm calling a friend?" i decide to flip the conversation around, "would you want her to be my girlfriend?" olivia looks at me, thinking, "i don't know." "you don't know?" i chuckle. "i want you to be happy," she responds. "what if i'm happy with her?" "then you should be with her," olivia says. i chuckle, moving olivia's leg. i walk back to her, sitting beside her, "i talked to her months ago about it, we aren't gonna date, we're just friends." "did she reject you?" "no, i never get rejected," i smile as olivia laughs. "it was sort of a mutual agreement, just so things didn't go on and we didn't lead each other on," i explain, "and i didn't wanna leave you all sad because you didn't have the chance to date me." olivia laughs again, nudging me, "you wish."

we get onto the topic of olivia's career. "you should go on tour," i say. "okay, you can't tell anyone about this," olivia says. "promise." "i am going on tour, but i need to announce it sometime soon," she says. "no way! that's amazing, rodrigo," i smile. "yeah, but the venues are pretty small," she sighs, "i'm scared because a lot of people won't get tickets and it's gonna blow on me." "why don't you just get bigger venues?" i ask. "because that's scary. this is my first time doing tour," she reminds. "true... you'll get bigger venues in the future," i say, "just fake it 'till you make it." she chuckles, "yeah, easier said than done." "you're olivia fucking rodrigo, quite possibly one of the biggest pop artists on the planet right now," i smile. "ugh, humble me," she groans. "your music sucks." "i agree. thanks," olivia laughs.

"why do you always wear the glasses?" olivia asks. "what glasses?" i ask. "the glasses," she chuckles. "oh, EDITH." "what?" she asks. "look," i say, picking up my glasses. i place them on, "EDITH." she starts to scan my face, and i take them off, putting them in olivia's vision. "i can't put it on you, because it'll turn off because your face isn't recognized, but do you see it?" i ask. "yeah, shit, that's cool," she chuckles. "yeah," i smile, putting the glasses on my head. "you look nice with them," olivia says, bringing her hands up to the glasses. she puts them down, letting them sit on my nose. i push them up with my index finger, smiling at olivia.
