Ava and Carly were studying at Ava's place in her room, on her bed.
They used flashcards and took notes on the difference between animal cells, and plant cells.
But Ava couldn't stop thinking about that human boy she saw at school especially when she saw him with a bleeding cheek.
"What's wrong?"
Ava turned to Carly who looked at her with concern.
"N-nothing," Ava said.
"Still thinking about that human boy?" Carly asked.
"...Maybe," Ava said, slightly embarrassed.
That's when someone knocked on her door.
"Come in," Ava said.
A tall male tiger in a tuxedo came in.
"Hi, Dad."
"I honey, I just wanted to come in and let you know that I'll be heading out." He said.
"Okay," Ava said.
"Bye Dad." She said,
"Bye, sweety." He said, closing the door behind him.
He walked down the hall until his phone rang.
Pulling it out of the pocket of his black pants.
He looked at the caller's I.D.
Bring it to his ear.
"Lez?" He asked.
"Did you hear what happened?!" She yelled through the line.
"What?"
"Some new student at the academy that you fundraised, struck my daughter!" She yelled.
"Wait? What? Who?" He asked, continuing down the hall of his house, walking down a staircase, and opening the front door of his house to have a car waiting for him.
Once he was in the car he put the phone on the speaker using the car's speakers.
"The hell do I know?!" She said,
"Well, what do you want me to do?" He asked.
"Find out who the fuck did this to my daughter!" She barked.
"Wait a minute...what happened?" He asked.
"Whoever did this fractured her nose! And her rib cage!" She yelled out again.
"Where is she now?" She asked.
"Where do you think?! She's in the hospital! Unconscious!" Lez said.
"Alright, let me get in touch with someone and try and sort this out." He said, driving out of the house.
"You better!" She said,
"Wait...did her friends say anything?"
"Sigh...not yet." Her said.
"Last time I heard they were being questioned by police."
"Alright, thanks for letting me know."
He hung up the phone.
And started to call someone else.
"Hello?" a feminine British voice came in through the line.
"Hey Helen, how have you been?" He asked.
"Fine. What is it that you want?" She asked, in an unpleasant tone.
"I need your special expertise." He said.
"Sigh, what is it?" She asked, sarcastically.
"I need you to look in the academy's database on the students and check for any that might have been enrolled." He said.
"Will do."
"Great, let me know when you have anything." He said, before hanging up.
