Best morning

Ezekiel Pov

I slowly opened my eyes as the sunlight hit my face. The beautiful after rain smell in the air. And Aria in my arms. Could there be a better morning in fact this was the best morning of my life. Her tiny arms were wrapped around my waist and her head rested on my chest. My arms wrapped around her fragile body and my head rested on hers. Her lavender smell comforted me in a way that was indescribable. In fact smelled like her now. And I'm not complaining.

Yesterday was such an eventful day. To be honest I was greatly annoyed because of what that guy said but then suddenly meeting Aria and her finally being comfortable and confident around me and inviting me to her house was amazing. She was genuinely concerned about me because I was totally wet. And cooking with her, having a meal could by her could be very small things in reality but it gave me the comfort and happiness I was longing for since my parents demise. Plus her cooking was actually amazing. I don't even remember when was the last time I had proper home cooked meal.

I've been staring at her for the past hour and I can sense in her breathing that she's starting to wake up. She starts shifting and stirring in my arms and I gently and slowly caress her hair which she seems to enjoy. She slowly opens her big eyes looking completely unaware of her surroundings. Suddenly her eyes go even wider and she looks flustered, finally realising the situation.

She looks adorable when she's flustered. I guess my heart just skipped a beat because of her cuteness.

"Good morning." She says softly rubbing her eyes.

"Good morning love." I brush her hair strands from her face and tuck them behind her ears.

She slowly unwraps her hands from my waist and sits up. And I'm already missing her touch. I sit up too. " Ummm Ezekiel ? "
" Yes love ?" My name sounds extraordinary coming out of her mouth.

" Why did we fall asleep on the couch ?"

" Well as you know yesterday after having dinner we were talking and since you were so tired you fell asleep on my shoulder. And I couldn't afford to disturb your sleep so eventually even I fell asleep with you. "

She didn't reply. Probably she was registering what I just said.

" Did you sleep well love ? "

" Yes. Yes I did. I hope I didn't cause you too much pain. Your hands must have become numb. I'm sorry." Her cheeks tinging pink now.

" Nonsense your so light I didn't feel any weight on me. And my hands aren't so weak princess. They are way more than strong enough to hold you forever. "

" Oh... I you know have to go to university today. What about you ? Wait what's the time ?" She suddenly panicked.

" It's just 7 o' clock and your university starts at 8 and your classes begin at 8:30. There's more than enough time."

" Ok so then I'll go and get dressed. Btw I had washed your clothes. The ones you were wearing yesterday and they are nice and warm now. If you want you can shower and dressed."

" You didn't have to take the trouble. Anyways thank you so much. How about I drop you to university today ? " I asked.

" No no that won't be necessary. You've already done so much for me."

" Come on I insist. I'll drop you and you could make me a good cup of tea like yesterday in return."

" Ok sure. " She finally agreed. We both got dressed and we had breakfast. Right now I was outside starting my car and Aria was locking her house.

She came near the car and I opened the door for her. Once she was properly seated I was about to get in but I got a call. It was from Apollo. I thought it was regarding Raymond but he told me Raymond was absolutely fine but we need to leave tonight for a business trip. And it would be one week long. That means I won't get to see Aria for a week. I had already made so many plans like I would invite her to dinner, take her to some beautiful restaurant where it's just us and many other things but I can't postpone this trip as well it's very important. Obviously not as important as Aria but I can't help it.

I get into the car and fasten my seatbelt. Aria senses my uneasiness and instantly asks me if there's something wrong.

" No not much. It's just that I need to go for a trip suddenly. It's a one week trip for business purpose." I tell her.

" So what's wrong in it ?"

" I wanted to take you somewhere."" We can go once your back. " She suggests. And it it's logical obviously.

" Ok. Will you wait for me then ?" I askher.

" Always." She smiles and my heart instantly feels warmth.

We reached her university. I open the door for her. People were staring at us. Boys glaring at me, girls at her. Some looked in awe. But do I care ? NO.  She's mine. And I know I've said it many times and I will till my last breath. She takes her bag and she's ready to go in.

" If anything happens, anything at all. Call me. You know I'll always be there. And please take care of yourself. Eat well, sleep well and stay happy. " I tell her and she laughs.

" Your speaking as if your going on a war or something." I smile back.

" Not war exactly....but you know I can't see my little bunny in danger. It'll cost me my whole life well my bunny is my life."

"I...." She's pink again. I love making her blush and only I can do that.

" And the blushing bunny is back !" I laugh at her.

She playfully hits my arm. " Stop teasing me." She protests.

" Can't help it love, your too cute."

" Anyways have a safe journey and come back safely. " She wishes me and now I know nothing can go wrong.

" Thank you love. Take care of yourself and I'm gonna miss you. "

" I'm gonna miss you too Ezekiel." She hugs me and gives me a peck on my cheek. Her lips felt so soft on my cheek and they were cold. It felt heavenly. Probably the best thing that ever happened to me in my 27 years of life. And my oxytocin release is at it's highest now. Guess I'm blushing now. I want to feel them on my skin again. I want more kisses but she'll think I'm a creep. Not to worry once we get married then I'll have access to unlimited kisses from her.

" Ok bye love. " I say scratching the back of my head awkwardly. She's the only one who makes me do things awkwardly.

" Bye." She says.

And she goes in as I stare at her. I get inside my car grinning to myself as I drive to the airport.
