Hallie's POV
2015

Staring out the plane window, the sun is slowly starting to rise so I take my phone and take a picture of the pretty pink sky.

Landing in Barcelona, I grab my bags and head towards where my Dad told me he'd be.

Once we share a hug, we head to the car.

"How was your time with your Mum?"

"Same old, shopping, movies, met some of the Liverpool girls." I say.

"I heard what happened with Lucy."

I continue to stare out the window.

"You don't have to be embarrassed about it, these things happen, sometimes relationships aren't meant to be." My Dad says.

"Thank you." I mumble.

Shortly after, we arrive at the house so I dump my bags in my room and head downstairs.

Deciding to make some bacon and eggs, I turn the stove on.

"What you cooking?" Taylor questions from the living room.

"Bacon and eggs, want some?" I shout.

"Sure." She answers, walking into the kitchen.

When I finish cooking I plate some food up for the both of us and place it on the table.

"Oh my god, this smells so good Hal" Taylor moans.

I laugh as I take a bite of my eggs.

"I've missed your cooking like mad."

"I'm glad to know. How have you been Tay?" I question.

"I've been good, life's been great in Barcelona, I hate to say it but I'm glad I chose Dad."

"That's okay to say Tay, I chose Mum at first but now you could say I've chosen no one since I'm with Washington Spirit."

"I'm proud of you, that's a big step to take."

"It's good for my career I guess." I say with a mouthful of food.

"It's good for you to meet new people as well. On that topic, what are you friends like?" Taylor questions.

"Well my housemates Ali, Ash and Crystal helped me settle in perfectly and we're always laughing together at training or spending our off days together. I love exploring new things with them and the team especially. Hayley has been my rock, although she has pissed me off a few times. And Kelsey always makes me laugh, we help each other to improve."

"I'm glad everything is going well for you Hal-Pal."

I groan. "No absolutely not. Not that nickname."

"Don't pretend you don't love it." She teases.

"I despise it, as a matter of fact."

"Sure you do, when do you go back to the states?"

"Soon, National camp's nearly over, the last game is today actually."

"We should watch it."

"We can't, we don't have the channels for it."

"We'll find it somewhere. What time does it start?"

I check my watch. "Not until later it's only 5am in Utah."

"Fine. We'll go explore the city first then."

"I'm not exploring as you call it anymore Tay, this is my home away from home away from home."
