Chapter 15: Team Bonding

Hallie's POV

Rose was in front of me, skipping to my room.

"Can I just run away now?" I mumble.

"No you can't." Lindsey wraps her arm around my waist.

Getting to my room, the door's already open. Kelley or one of the girls already in there, had put a shoe by the door, to keep it open.

Walking in, Kelley, Alex, Abby, Allie, Christen, Tobin, Megan, Ash and Ali, were all scattered around the room, on chairs, the floor or beds.

"Which one is your bed?" Emily asks me.

"Closest to the window." Kelley answers for me.

Emily jumps on my bed, the others following her lead.

"Hurry up, Hallie we saved a spot for you in the middle." Mal says.

A few minutes later, the rest of the team enter the room.

"Right." Kelley says clapping her hands excitedly. "Truth or dare?"

I groan. "We're not in school."

Kelley shoots me a glare.

"Fine." I mumble.

Kelley hums. "Alex, truth or dare?"

"Truth."

"Have you ever had any regrets about Serv?"

"Who hasn't? Everyone questions their relationship at the start. But I haven't for ages."

"Reasonable."

"Alyssa, truth or dare?" Alex says.

"Dare."

"Go find Jill or Dawn, recommend them the best book you've ever read, really enthusiastically." Alex laughs at herself.

Alyssa huffs. "Fine."

Alyssa leaves and we all follow her, until she reaches the gym.

"Dawn? Are you in here?"

"Hi Alyssa." Dawn says. "And the rest of team.."

"There's this book I've just finished, The Silent Patient." Alyssa says.

"Yes?"

"I really think you should get it, it's so interesting."

"Um okay sure?" Dawn says uncertain.

"I'll try not to reveal much but the girl doesn't speak,and the plot twist is so smart. Not to forget, that's the first book that the author ever wrote. Can you believe it?" Alyssa rambles on.

"That's the most I've ever heard her speak." Mal mumbles making me laugh.

"Can I borrow your copy?"

"Of course. I'll bring it to you tomorrow." Alyssa smiles before walking back towards us.

"Alex, I'm getting revenge on you, for that."

Everyone laughed as we reached the room again.

"Emily, truth or dare?"

"Truth."

"Who was the last person you kissed?"

"Lindsey." Emily says awkwardly.
