After both trainers lost five Pokemon, it all comes down to their final Pokemon: Arcanine and Blastoise.
Announcer: It's Arcanine against Blastoise! A battle that will determine everything! Let's see one exciting battle!
Referee: Start the match!
Gary: I have the clear advantage. Use Flash Cannon!
Jaden: Counter with Flamethrower!
Flamethrower and Flash Cannon clashed together in an explosion.
Gary: Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!
Blastoise fired a powerful pump of water through the smoke.
Gary: Surely that hit. Huh?
When the smoke cleared, he didn't see Arcanine.
Gary: Where did it go? It must've used Dig.
Announcer: Did Arcanine use Dig? But I can't see a hole anywhere.
Jaden: You see, it's learned a new move and forgot Dig.
Gary: What?
Jaden: Use Extreme Speed!
Arcanine ran really fast around a confused Blastoise. Then Arcanine bashed into Blastoise and landed a direct hit.
Gary: Blastoise!
Announcer: Oh, Blastoise surely felt that attack! And what speed Arcanine has!
Gary: Okay Jaden, you surprised me on that one. But you won't anymore. Use Hydro Pump!
Blastoise fired a strong pump of water.
Jaden: Dodge it!
Arcanine dodged the attack with great speed.
Gary: It's so fast.
Jaden: Arcanine's speed has been increased through training.
Gary: But let's see how it'll help you with this. Use Ice Beam on the battlefield!
Jaden: Is he...
Blastoise fired beams of ice on the field. An ice battlefield was created.
Announcer: It's an ice battlefield once again. It seems to be the new trend these days. And Arcanine seems to be struggling on these new surroundings.
Jaden: No, Arcanine!
Arcanine couldn't stand on its feet. It kept slipping.
Gary: Ha! Your Pokemon is a sitting duck. Use Gyro Ball!
Blastoise tucked inside its shell and started spinning towards a helpless Arcanine.
Jaden: Stay still and use Fire Blast!
Arcanine lay on its stomach and fired an X made of fire at an incoming Blastoise.
The spinning Blastoise collided with Fire Blast. As it was spinning, Blastoise was taking major damage.
Gary: Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!
Blastoise fired pumps of water as it spun to counter the fire.
Jaden: Arcanine, use Flamethrower on the field!
Arcanine used the flamethrower to melt the ice.
The ice melted and Blastoise landed on its feet, but it was moving funny.
Gary: Blastoise, stay strong!
Prof. Oak: Looks like Blastoise is struggling a bit.
Cynthia: Yeah. Not only can it not keep up with Arcanine's speed, but it's also taken damage from this battle and the previous ones.
Prof. Oak: Indeed. Blastoise may not be able to withstand much more. Gary must know this and wants to try and end this.
Cynthia: Jaden must realise this too and wants the same thing. Come on, Jaden. You can do this. I believe in you.
Mom: Go on, Jaden! Win this!
Jaden: Arcanine, use Extreme Speed!
Arcanine started to sprint around an already exhausted Blastoise.
Gary: Blastoise, hang on and use Ice Beam!
Blastoise kept firing multiple ice beams but couldn't land a hit.
Jaden: Knock it off balance!
Arcanine hit Blastoise by its side and knocked it onto its back.
Gary: Blastoise no!
Announcer: Blastoise has been knocked over! And it can't get back up!
Jaden: Finish this with Fire Blast!
Arcanine fired an X of fire and aimed right at a defenceless Blastoise. Blastoise took a direct hit.
Gary: Blastoise!
When the smoke cleared, the outcome was decided.
Referee: Blastoise is unable to battle. Arcanine is the winner. And the victory goes to Jaden.
Announcer: Amazing! Simply amazing! Jaden has defeated the Elite Four and has become the champion of Kanto! Incredible!
Everyone stood up and applauded a sensational match.
A tear rolled down Cynthia's eye.
Cynthia: I'm so proud.
Mom: You did it, son! Amazing!
Prof. Oak: Well done, Gary. You did great. But unfortunately, not great enough.
Jaden: We did it, Arcanine!
Jaden went to congratulate Arcanine.
Gary: Return Blastoise. You battled great. Get some rest. Jaden!
Jaden: Yeah.
Gary approached Jaden.
Gary: Next time, you won't be so lucky.
Jaden: Luck doesn't have anything to do with it.
Jaden and Gary shook hands.

Jaden was being handed the trophy alongside the Pokemon he used against Gary.
Cynthia: Congratulations Jaden. You're a champion.
Jaden: Thanks. But this is only the first step.
Cynthia: I can imagine.
Jaden and Cynthia kissed.

Jaden had his picture in the Kanto Hall of Fame.
Jaden, his mom and Cynthia all headed back to Sinnoh.
Gary and Professor Oak waved goodbye. Jaden took all the Pokemon he caught with him. He gave them to his mom for safe keeping until later.
The boat arrived back in Sinnoh.
Jaden: We're home.
Cynthia: Yes we are. I can't wait to see all the Pokemon you managed to catch.
Jaden: Me too.
Jaden has become champion of Kanto. But what is next for him?
