Jaden arrived in Violet City and was eager to take on the Gym.
Jaden: Come on guys. Let's go find the Gym.
Jaden found the Gym and knocked on the door.
Jaden: Hello? I'm here to take on the Gym!
Then someone came out.
Falkner: Good day. I'm Falkner, the Gym Leader. You want to take on the Gym?
Jaden: Of course.
Falkner: You can, but not now.
Jaden: Why not?
Falkner: What you need to do is climb to the top of Sprout Tower and come back down.
Jaden: Is that it?
Falkner: Yes. I specialize in flying-type Pokemon and climbing to the top of Sprout Tower is a sign that you're ready to reach new heights.
Jaden: Okay then. If I do, then can I challenge the Gym?
Falkner: Yes.
Jaden: Alright then. Let's go, Arcanine.
Jaden and Arcanine ran to Sprout Tower at an end of Violet City.
Jaden: Just climb to the top and come back down. Should be simple enough.
They entered the tower.
As they entered, the Dratini egg began to glow.
Jaden: Woah. Is it hatching?
Then the glow vanished.
Jaden: Let's carry the egg with us.

After climbing the first floor, Jaden was on the second floor. And there were trainers to battle.
Jaden: Let's battle our way to the top.
Jaden proceeded to battle the trainers on the second floor.
Jaden: Cyndaquil, use Ember!
Cyndaquil landed a hit.
Trainer: Rattata, use Bite!
Jaden: Cyndaquil, dodge and use Swift!
Cyndaquil dodged Rattata's Bite, used Swift and landed another hit. Rattata was defeated.
Trainer: Not again!
Jaden: Nice job, Cyndaquil.

Trainer: Bellsprout, use Razor Leaf!
Jaden: Hoothoot, dodge and use Peck!
Hoothoot landed a super effective hit on Bellsprout.
Trainer: Bellsprout, use Vine Whip!
Jaden: Dodge those vines!
Hoothoot was quickly avoiding the lashing vines.
Jaden: Now use Peck!
Hoothoot landed another hit with Peck and defeated Bellsprout.
Jaden: Nice battle, Hoothoot.
Trainer: Oh man! You're strong.

Jaden: Spinarak: Use String Shot!
String Shot caused the opposing Meowth to get tangled up.
Trainer: Meowth, use Fury Swipes!
Meowth used fury swipes to free itself and attacked Spinarak.
Jaden: Use Poison Sting!
Spinarak fired multiple poison stings at Meowth and was soon poisoned.
Trainer: Meowth no!
Jaden: Use Infestation!
Infestation landed multiple hits on Meowth and defeated it.
Jaden: Good job, Spinarak.
Trainer: I'll be better next time.
Jaden's Pokemon levelled up and learned new moves.
Cyndaquil learned Quick Attack. Spinarak learned Night Shade and forgot Infestation.
After defeating the trainers, Jaden climbed to the top of Sprout Tower. When he arrived, he saw the view.
Jaden: Wow! What a view. Cynthia would've loved this.
Arcanine sat down next to him.
Then Falkner appeared.
Falkner: I see you completed the task I set.
Jaden: Of course. Do you come here often?
Falkner: Almost every day. Every time I look at this view, it's like I'm looking at it for the first time. It's amazing. It's like I'm one with my flying Pokemon.
Jaden: I do every time I win with my Pokemon.
Then suddenly, the egg began to glow.
Jaden: Woah. It's glowing again.
Falkner: Is it hatching?
The glow shined brighter and the egg hatched into a Dratini.
Jaden: A Dratini.
Pokedex: Dratini, the Dragon Pokemon. It sheds many layers of its skin as it grows larger. During this process, it is protected by a rapid waterfall.
Jaden: Nice to meet you, Dratini. Now, let's see your moves. Supersonic, Dragon Breath, Aqua Jet and Slam. Okay, return Dratini.
Falkner: I take it I'll see you tomorrow for our Gym battle?
Jaden: Sure. I'll see you then.
Jaden's first gym battle in Johto will take place tomorrow and he finally has a Dratini.
