Wanheda Part One (1,3)
There was another reason as to why Tyra tended to ride horses rather than the rover, sometimes even going as far as to prefer to arrive hours late by running.
Every time Tyra got inside the rover without fail, she could feel her stomach swishing from side to side, vile rising up her throat and crawling her way up to her mouth with each lurch to the vehicle while she attempted at closing her eyes and imagining she was elsewhere, only that idea turned out worse.
"Hey, Bellamy, you might want to open your window."
"Why?"
"Because your girlfriend's about to puke all over the back of the rover." Bellamy turned in his seat to look at her.
Tyra did indeed look paler, her knuckles white while she griped the swaying seat, taking deep breaths while staring straight into the small window by the sides of the rover.
"I'm fine." Nevertheless, Bellamy did open the window on his side of the rover. And though it didn't help much, even the small relief the smell of fresh Trikru air brought, still calmed Tyra.
Luckily for Tyra's stomach, it didn't take long for them to reach the meeting point. And Tyra only needed to hear the quiet hum of the motor cease for her to push the doors open and rush out, keeping a steady hand by the rover while she assimilated being on unmoving land.
Tyra suddenly felt a hand press against her lower back, the thumb rubbing circles atop her spine that had the hair on the back of her neck standing up. "You okay?"
"I am." Bellamy retracted his hand from her back, giving her a last once over before motioning to Monty at the front of the rover. Taking quiet, slow steps toward the end of the tunnel they had parked at.
"You were right about Jasper, okay? Is that what you want me to say?"
"Quiet. Keep your eyes peeled... I could've said no."
"He's getting worse, isn't he? I mean, getting drunk every night is one thing, but smiling with a knife to your throat, that's next-level damaged." Tyra had no way of disagreeing with Monty, so she only offered a gentle squeeze to his shoulder as she passed his side.
"I'm sorry." Before Monty could continue his conversation, the bushes shook before them, Bellamy and him raising their guns to point a them while Tyra gripped her knives in her sleeves. Though, once the figures burst through the foliage, they all lowered their weapons.
It seemed the odd bunch who had chosen to pass the trees was none other than Marcus accompanied by not only Indra, but also Loukas, who Tyra hoped had lost his skills in deduction, so he didn't threaten Bellamy in his broken English for dating his sister.
"Who are those he's with?"
"Indra and Tyra's brother." Even though the two had never formally met, with how much Bellamy had seen of Loukas' face spying through the trees as Tyra sneaked into camp and also by saving him back at Mount Weather, he could recognize him anywhere.
"That's Indra? And your brother?" Tyra nodded, letting her arms drop by her side while Loukas' calculating gaze met hers.
"I can see the similarities."
"He must've told her we broke the truce." Tyra was the first to step up to the trio, shooting Marcus a nod as she went.
"Marcus," He nodded back while Tyra clasped Indra's arm in her hand, Indra replicating her actions. "Indra. It is good to see you."
"I tried to find you first, but Loukas mentioned you were out on your daily scout on Skaikru."
Tyra met eyes with Loukas, the almost inexistent slit of her eyes that a select few managed to catch in her emotionless expression being sent his way, which he only replied with a shrug. The best excuse he could come up with had been that.
