Red Sky (14,1)

Luna's people set them up surrounding a fire, Tyra's eyes non-stop scanning her surroundings as she went. She found no weapons in sight, not even a knife in the vicinity. Tyra's mind, which was hardwired to fight, couldn't stop thinking about her next move in case if a fight suddenly found itself afloat.

"She's here. Maybe she changed her mind." Bellamy, Tyra, Loukas, and Clarke all sprung to their feet to meet Luna in the middle. Tyra by that point was just hoping Luna could change her mind overall, she didn't want to become Commander.

"The boats return at nightfall. Then you leave. Forever."

"Luna, let us explain."

"I said no." Luna attempted to push past the four, but Bellamy and Tyra closed her path with their shoulders, preventing her from leaving.

"No, you need to hear this. There is something out there that is going to destroy us all."

"Whatever it is, it can't reach us here." It was clear that Luna wasn't changing her mind soon, especially when she pushed both Bellamy and Tyra out of her way to keep walking.

Only before she could fully leave, Tyra latched on to her wrist to gather her attention. At that point, she didn't care if Luna didn't want to be Commander, Tyra just wanted to feel safe again.

"My sword. Where is it?" Luna yanked her hand out of Tyra's rough grasp, ice blue meeting void black irises. The two ends of the spectrum when it came to cold stares.

"You really think you're going to need that in here? Don't you ever get tired of always expecting the worst from people? Always killing first and asking later?"

"Always expecting the worst has kept me alive, and I'm not about to start dying now."  It was a good thing to remember ever since she had put Bellamy up on a hero's pedestal, only to discover he was just as much of a murderer as she was, if not worse.

Tyra had learned her lesson. And though she was trying to change, change didn't come from night to morning. Or from induced nap to peaceful living.

"Your weapons will be on the boat when you leave. And you especially Tyra, never come back."

While Luna walked away from the three, Tyra didn't hesitate to walk the opposite way towards the corner where Loukas was conversing with some child, showing off his scar filled arm to him. Smoke practically spilling out of her rage filled brain.

Watching Loukas with the child made Tyra see a new side she hadn't seen in a long while. Occasionally, she forgot how much of an acting older brother he was, it was usually lost between their grieving and traumatized selves. But Loukas had always had a natural talent with children.

"What was that one for?"

"That one was given to me by my sister. I called her ugly." The little boy giggled while tracing the small scar.

It was the first time Tyra had purposely cut any of her brothers, Siva immediately coming to Loukas' defence while also slashing at her hand to leave a matching scar, just for Hadyn to come in to the fight and beat Siva until he had two mirrored slashes against his forehead.

The four didn't stop fighting until their father came in to stop them all, placing them on muck cleaning duty for an entire week while waking them up at early hours of the morning, so they'd accompany him to hunt even before the sun rose, though none of the siblings were allowed to actively participate in the hunting and if they scared the animal it was one more days of muck duty.

"I'll give you one that's much worse if you call me that again." Loukas scoffed at the approaching Tyra, while the little boy looked at her with wonder as she crouched down by their sides.
