i woke up the next morning next to spider, our face inches apart as our noses almost touched.
we were on grass, and once i had realised it, i sat up, looking around.
"shit.." i whispered, we were on the edge of our island, where we found ourselves last night.
we had ended up falling asleep on the grass, which wasn't a good thing considering the fresh cuts and open wounds that i still had.
"spider.." i whispered, facing him as i layed back on my back.
"pssst.." i said, as his eyebrows furrowed.
"spider.." i now spoke gently, rubbing my arm on his shoulder as his eyes slowly opened.
his eyes quickly scanned my face as he sat up immediately.
"what-" he looked around, clearly confused.
"we didn't make it home last night, we were up a bit late" i said with a smile.
"SHIT" he stood to his feet as i looked at him, clearly confused.
"what-"
"jake will kill me jake will kill me" he said as he started walking up and down in one place.
"spider!" i snapped.
"why would he kill you?" i asked, with a smile on my face.
i noticed his eyes scan my body as i kept my eyes on his, until he noticed me staring.
i made a "so...?" face by lifting my eyes and nodding.
"your cuts are definitely infected.." he said as i looked at my cuts.
"they don't seem to be.." i said.
"STILL! it's best to get it checked out..." he said.
"shit.. jake will kill me" he said.
"oh come on.." i said, standing up as i started walking into the island.
"come on.." i said as he watched from a distance and then followed me.
we walked, side by side as i had noticed him staring at my body.
"spider- get over it, it's just a couple of cuts"
"COUPLE?" he said loudly as i rolled my eyes.
"your whole body is covered in them!" he said as i just sighed in response, walking over the long grass.
"what do i tell jake?" he said, panicking slightly as we walked.
"dunno- we fell asleep?" i said, making stuff obvious as he exhaled sharply.
"he will kill me!" he emphasised.
"it's best to be truthful than lie.." i said.
"unless you justify your lie with a decent point" i said.
"okay, let's do that- what's our lie?" he said quickly.
"pffttt-" i said , "it's not my fault that Mr Spider didn't take me back to my hammock like a gentleman should.." i said playfully, looking his way as he smiled, nodding away.
"what are you trying to say that i'm not a good person?" he replied playfully.
"no spider- i'm trying to say that this lie you will try to justify isn't my business.." i said, "because i won't get in trouble with jake" i said, laughing as he playfully pushed my arm out of his face as i knocked on his mask, laughing.
