Ooooh yeah Ratchet mentioned that the things the 'cons stole in Prime had the power to make a black hole. Makes sense this would be a plot point in this episode. Although it's crazy how a bunch of normal everyday people would be able to get the material for a space bridge just like that. They must have a lot of tenacity and a long legal record.
