Following the death of her closest, and only friend, Angel finds herself hating the world above. They've taken so much from her... they've taken everything. They took her mother and now they took her best friend.

But they didn't mean in... did they?

Aya's death was just an accident... but Angel's mother's death was anything but. Angel's mother was murdered.

Angel has lived with that pain and that guilt for hundreds of years, but not once did she blame the surface world, no matter how tempting it could have been. But now, Angel wants to blame them, she almost needs to blame them.

She needs someone to blame... she needs someone to direct her anger towards.

And so... she does.

Angel finds a large metal ship, the largest ship she's ever seen before. It almost looks like a giant black whale in her eyes. In the frigid cold water, Angel's head pops out above, eyes scanning over the ship to find someone, to find anyone. She sees a young couple standing at the edge of the ship, a man and a woman, holding their arms out together as if they're flying.

And so... she begins to sing.

Angel opens her mouth and lets the siren song fly freely from her lips, watching as the couple becomes completely entranced with her voice, watching as they lose themselves entirely and fall victim to the song

Angel opens her mouth and lets the siren song fly freely from her lips, watching as the couple becomes completely entranced with her voice, watching as they lose themselves entirely and fall victim to the song.

But what she didn't expect is for the captain to hear the song as well. She didn't expect the captain to become so enchanted, that he loses his grip on the steering wheel of the ship, allowing it to veer off to the right.

Angel keeps singing her song, she keeps singing and singing, enchanting more and more people as she does. Soon she has the entire upper deck in a trance and ready to jump ship... only for it to collide with a colossal ice burg.

Angel stops singing and gasps, in turn giving the people back their sanity and allowing them to panic.

She never meant it to get this far... but it did.

The ship is sinking... and it's all her fault.

Angel watches in horror as the ship bends and breaks, groans, and swallows up the sea. She watches as the people begin to flee on the lifeboat, but it becomes increasingly obvious that there aren't enough.

The ship gets swallowed up entirely by the ocean and sends people down to their deaths, screaming and begging for help in the freezing waters.

Angel dives down into the water to save as many people as she can, but there's so much screaming, so many people and so few options. She brings people to the surface, but they have nowhere to go. The lifeboats are long gone. The people she saved begin to panic even more, especially considering a mermaid is the one who saved them. And Angel begins to cry as well, feeling the guilt weighing her down and pressing on her heart. She did it... she sank the ship. It's all her fault, because of her siren song. And on this day she made a promise, to never again use her siren song, and she sealed it with two simple words.

" I'm sorry."
