"Impressive year-end achievements. You continue to develop our company's brand across North and South America. Keep up the brilliant job, son!" Jeon Nangmin was pleased with his son's contributions to the expansion of their businesses across the Americas.

Jeon Jungkook was unaffected by his father's praise since he knew he was doing an outstanding job. He was the most successful Chief Executive Officer (CEO) the Americas division had ever had. Now that he had built both his reputation and the reputation of the corporation, he was poised for his next position.

"It's encouraging to see that you recognize something that has been common knowledge. But that wasn't the reason I invited you to come here. Given my track record of accomplishments, I am now in a position to assume the role of Global CEO. There is no use in you continuing to cling to a position that no longer contributes to the firm's expansion. You are old, and retirement is knocking.

I looked into the growth of revenue that occurred under your leadership this year, and I found that while I was leading the Americas, I brought in more money than you brought in any of the other regions. I am not sure what is happening in Europe, but it is clear that someone is turning a blind eye to the shitshow that is taking place there."

It didn't matter to Jungkook who he was talking to or what topic they were discussing; he always made his thoughts and intentions crystal clear.

Neither the fact that his eldest son intended to completely take over the firm nor the thoughts that he had surprised Nangmin. That was something he embraced; he knew Jungkook had the potential to take the company to the next level if given a chance. Everything was accurate, as he described it, and the European division of his firm was being affected due to a shift in leadership. He knew Jungkook could turn things around relatively fast, but he couldn't give over his company to Jungkook without first putting certain conditions in place.

While his son was successful in his role as CEO of the Americas division and did a fantastic job with everything he set his attention on, he fell short in other aspects of his life. Even his younger son had advanced farther in his life than Jungkook, which troubled him since Jungkook was the primary successor and the only one who could take over the company and keep it successful for years to come.

In the same way, he prioritized his work and thirst for power; he required Jungkook to give equal weight to other aspects of his life.

"Jungkook, I can appreciate your anxiety about the company and your conviction that your appointment to Global CEO will bring about positive change; nevertheless, I do not believe you are prepared to take on that responsibility now. Until I see-"

"What the hell do you mean I am not prepared?" Jungkook yelled as he stood up to face his father.

Nangmin did not pay any heed to his son's outburst; instead, he continued to communicate with him in a calm and serious tone. "My father did not give me the position until after you were born, and the same thing occurred to him with his father," Nangmin said. "Son, you are good at what you do, but your lifestyle outside of work as a bachelor does not go over well with many of the people who are important to our organization all over the globe.

I gave you control of the Americas because your way of life is more suited to the culture here than elsewhere. You will get no respect from anyone. You do not have an heir in line to succeed you who can take over in the role in the years to come. That is important to me."

"If you want me to have a kid, that can be accomplished easily. Tonight, I can work on one. Does it have to be born for you to transfer the company, or is conception sufficient?"

Nangmin let out a sigh as he was forced to take a seat, and even though he believed his son would not be able to surprise him, he was taken aback by Jungkook's logic. "Jungkook, you must have a spouse, and you need to be conscious of this fact. A child out of wedlock cannot be a successor of our company. If that were the case, rather than arguing with you so often, I would have given the company to your brother."
