Jin felt content that he got up before his son. He carefully slipped out of bed, making sure not to disturb him, and quickly exited the room. Once outside, he looked at the clock and saw it was just past seven, which was a perfect time for him to be awake, particularly since he felt well-rested.

He made a brief visit to his daughters' room and peeked in to check on them, pleased to see they were still sleeping. He noticed Willow's pajamas were different from the ones she had worn to bed and assumed that she must have gotten them messy, and Jungkook had to change her during the night. This reminded him that he needed to tackle their laundry, a chore he had come to dread and one reason he realized they required a nanny.

He found himself doing laundry several times a week, especially because his daughters constantly dirtied their outfits and needed to be changed multiple times a day. Deciding to utilize the quiet morning, he headed to his room and felt relieved not to find Jungkook there, allowing him to wash up and prepare for the day without interruption.

Once he finished, he went to the girls' bathroom and collected their laundry to take downstairs to the laundry room. He disliked the laundry room's location, believing it would have been more convenient if it were on one of the upper floors. It wasn't that he was lazy; being pregnant and near the end of his term made it difficult to keep going up and down the stairs frequently.

Once he successfully descended the stairs, carefully balancing the laundry, he felt a sense of accomplishment wash over him. As he approached the laundry room, he paused at the glass partition of the home gym; there was Jungkook, intensely focused on his workout. His husband was lifting weights, the muscles in his arms flexing irresistibly under the strain, his skin glistening with sweat. When Jungkook caught Jin's eye, a playful smirk spread across his face, prompting Jin to roll his eyes and continue on his path to the laundry room.

He had barely started sorting the clothes in the washing machine when he heard the unmistakable sound of Jungkook entering the room. Jin turned around, and his heart skipped a beat at the sight of him. Jungkook's physique, gleaming from his workout, was desirable and distracting as he approached Jin, the defined muscles still highlighted by the room's soft light.

"Why didn't you sleep in our bed last night?" Jungkook asked.

"I was exhausted last night and wanted to rest. I knew that if I slept in our bed, the likelihood of getting a good night's sleep would be very low," Jin replied while looking at Jungkook knowingly.

Jungkook chuckled softly, "I think you're mistaken," he suggested, stepping closer. "If you had slept in our bed, sure, you would have drifted off later than you did. But I guarantee you'd still be peacefully sleeping now, catching up on any missed rest."

Jin shook his head, his expression firm. "I prefer it this way. Getting a peaceful night's sleep and waking up early helps me tackle the chores before the kids wake up. It keeps me functioning, especially when their father isn't always around to help with them. I've established this routine that works for me, and I'd rather not disrupt it just because of you."

"I think it's great that you've established a routine for yourself while I'm away," Jungkook began, "but I really believe it's important for that routine to have some flexibility when I'm here. Especially after being apart for so long."

He wrapped his arms around Jin, drawing him close effortlessly. "Seokjin," he continued, his gaze intense and penetrating, "I'm sure you're not unaware of this, but just in case you are, let me be clear, whenever I'm home, actually, let me rephrase that because it isn't solely about my being home. Whenever I'm around you, you need to know that I have this deep-seated need for you, and truthfully, it's not something I can suppress." His hands moved under Jin's soft shirt, fingers gently stroking against Jin's warm skin as he murmured, "Let last night be the last night you sleep in another bed when I'm home, especially while I'm here with you."
