Hoseok felt uneasy as he gripped his phone, attentively listening to the voice on the other end of the call. He hadn't even had a chance to connect his earphones when the caller started listing their demands.
"I've also heard that you're expecting. Given that this is an additional factor for you to consider, I'm confident that you understand the expectations. You have a responsibility to your younger brother and a child who could be separated from you at any moment."
"Why would my child be taken away from me? Marriage is something that is a big deal, and I don't think I can-"
"Stop right there. I expect to hear only what you are capable of doing. I expect to hear that you agree! You've managed to have a comfortable life without compromising the sacrifices made by your younger brother. Stop being selfish and get your shit together!
I don't care what you want or don't want; I am telling you what you will do because I swear if I have to get on a plane and come there, you won't like it. Contact Yoongi and inform him that you are prepared for marriage!" Jungkook exclaimed, forcefully hitting his fist on his desk in his home office, expressing his frustration and anger.
Hoseok was afraid, and his heart raced, leaving him without words. He was perplexed by Jungkook, his brother's husband, who dared to call him and make such a demanding request.
Yoongi was not someone he felt he knew well enough to make a lifelong commitment to. However, the potential consequences of his decision on his brother and nephew left him feeling uncertain. Although he wanted to be helpful, he believed sacrificing his freedom was not justifiable.
"Is there no other way for Hyunjae to get to the U.S.? Why do I need to get married for it to happen?" Hoseok needed more clarity; he didn't want to make a decision that would ultimately cause future difficulties in his life. He tried his best to avoid having his life turn out like his brother's. He had witnessed the difficulties Seokjin had endured and been through, especially after having a child with someone powerful in their country; he was not trying to recreate history.
"Do you believe that if there were a simpler option, I would be having this discussion here?" Jungkook said with a clenched jaw. "It makes no difference to me if you are pregnant or that you are in a relationship with Yoongi; you are not important. To me, you don't matter. Your position as Hyunjae's legal guardian is the perk allowing you to have any value. The only thing important to me is that Hyunjae comes here. So, quit being so self-absorbed and obey what you are told!"
"D-does Jin know you are telling me to do this?"
"No, and he has no business being aware of it either. I anticipate hearing about the wedding plans between you and Yoongi before the week's end, Hoseok." In a demanding tone, Jungkook said. He ended the call without allowing another response and proceeded to call Yoongi.

"Where are you going?"
Jin averted his gaze from the mirror, locking eyes with his husband, who had quietly entered the room while he was getting dressed. "Anywhere but here." He replied and glanced down at his attire.
"Seokjin-"
"I am going to the mall with Chanmi. Since you are home, I am leaving Willow and Sage." Jin avoided eye contact with Jungkook as he informed him of his plans, sparing himself with unnecessary hassle. He was already suffering from a pounding headache due to lack of sleep and didn't want anything to make it worse.
Jungkook asked Jin, "What are you going to the mall to do? You and Chanmi went two days ago. What's so important at the mall that you must go again?"
Jin let out a weary sigh and cast a skeptical glance at Jungkook. "I don't know if you've noticed, but we have two growing daughters. They need clothes. Clothes don't just appear for them to wear. I have to go out and buy them. They also need diapers. Those don't just appear out of thin air. Neither do my clothes as I continue to double in size!"
