Anubhav's PoV

"Bahout pyaari lag rahi hai aap yu krodhit hoke mandir ke bahat marathon karte hue", I tried to pacify my angry wife with some muse. She was still mad at me. Ignoring me even after kissing her cheeks in front of my mother, flirting in the most cheesy way.

I had no idea she would mind so much for me peeking into her talks with her best friend. Well they were talking about me, more specifically us having...Ahem.

"Haseena, yaar...ab maan bhi jaaiye na priye", I cornered her, holding her wrist before she could sit on the driver's side. "Kyu maane hum? Humari pehli Diwali pe aapki wajah se humare or Maa ke beech behes hui...And Mr. Singh you are not allowed to listen to my personal stuff!", She whisper-yelled at me and taking advantage of Ammi calling her, she escaped. Again...uff, I never thought our first Diwali would be like this. And I hate this now, if she wants to be angry for such a small thing so let it be, a game from both the sides.

I feel two selender hands wrapping around me, as we step into our room. I know why she is trying to be all sweet now. I saw her and Ammi talking in the kitchen.

"Chaliye bataiye ye ladai kaise khtam kare hum? Shobha dega ye jab hum apne bacho ko apni first Diwali ke bare me batayenge?"

I frowned. She was speaking as if I was the one who picked up a fight.

"Aapko toh aur chilana hoga na humpe? Ya phir madhumakhi jaise muh banaye idhar se udhar kaam karna hai...woh kya hai na ye swar aapke nahi Ammi ke lag rahe hai", I taunted her.

"Anubhav", she shook her head. "Ek toh aapki wajah se tyohaar ke din humara mood off hai...phir bhi hum sab sort kar rahe hai...or phir ab aap hume taane de rahe hai?"

"Meharbani aapki" I said with the same sarcasm. "Kyuki hum toh nahi hai woh jo over-react kar raha hai"

She looked at me for a while. I focused my attention back to my mobile replying to the festive greetings. I look up only to recieve angry glare and seeing her go.
Oh! She doesn't even know how to pacify me. "Har baar manaye hum hi kyu...huh", I whispered but sadly...how my dream of a romantic diwali just seem to go away.

A few minutes later, I heard a commotion downstairs and then heard a faint male voice, I could recognise even from miles away.

Vikrant.

"Bas issi ki Kami thi", I sighed. I know, he is plotting a revenge against me before my honeymoon for all the things I did before his.

-Pov Ends-

Vikrant- Happy Diwali Mere Yaar. Vaise tabiyat- gyming waghera sab sahi chal raha hai na? You have many things to score in Switzerland (he teased him)

AS- (rolling his eyes) Tyohaar hai aaj Vikrant khuch toh sharam karlo.

Vikrant- waise teri sweetie itni gusse me kyu hai? Honeymoon ka ha bhi nahi bola itne pe kamar pe laafa marke gaayi...

AS- woh kya hai na aaj hum dono ne socha hai kyu na humari diwali ko aur dhamakedar kare (he says irritatedly)

Vikrant- uff ye naye - navele jode ke nakhre...(animatedly) kya kahani sunaoge apne bacho ko shaadi ke pehle tyohaar ki?

(He says this while stealing a kaju katli from a box kept beside bed-table)

AS- humari biwi se na...thoda door hi raho tum (to himself) dono ek sang hogaye toh humara jeevan 100 Guna kathin ho jayega.
