" prayin' for the answers
creepin' in like cancer
you might catch me glancing
over at your test
i guess it's only human
we don't know what we're doing
but everyone i know is going nowhere fast
i'm sick of crying, no more mistakes
yeah, i've been trying to find my state of grace
here comes a tidal wave, nobody's safe
but you and i can drift away with
locked eyes at the red light
it's a long drive
but we can always change the route if we decide
hold tight, we can take time
it's a fine line
from what i'm searching for and what i find
searching for a motive
free me from my hopeless
everlasting wave of stable discontent
i guess it's only human
to spit out what i'm chewin'
every choice i make turns to a second guess
i'm sick of lying, no more charades
'cause i've been trying to plan my great escape
the perfect perjury of human race
we all just wanna find our place "

"how do you treat pancreatic divisum?" cristina asked. "izzie."

"oh, god, cristina. if you're not gonna let us sleep, you at least have to let me put coffee in my cup." izzie groaned.

"okay, so go? no one's stopping you."

"now i'm too tired to go."

"pancreatic divisum." cristina repeated.

"dorsal duct sphincterotomy." alex answered.

"not your turn, but correct. you do me." cristina said.

"i can't believe george is missing this." eleanor said, briefly lifting her head up from the kitchen table. "how's he going to be ready for the test?"

"oh, you're kidding right? yeah, we have callie's cards, but george has--"

"george has callie." izzie finished.

"what's the most frequent cause of diarrhea in hospitalized patients?" alex asked.

"is she coming to this bachelorette thing tonight?" izzie asked.

"rotavirus. yes." cristina answered alex first, then izzie second. "no, no, no, no. salmonella." she corrected herself.

"hospitalized patients, cristina." eleanor reminded her. "and what's your beef with callie? she's nice. i know her and george moved fast, but she's a good person, iz." she directed her attention back to izzie.

"i--" izzie tried to answer before meredith entered the kitchen.

"the most common cause of diarrhea in hospitalized patients is c. diff, which can lead to toxic megacolon, perforation, sepsis, and death." meredith answered. "that's what killed susan." she added and walked out the door.

"is she ok?" izzie asked.

"oh, she's fine." cristina answered.

"dude, she's messed up."

"of course she's messed up, susan was her sweet little stepmom and her dad is blaming her for her death." eleanor said. "anybody would be messed up."

"is she going to the hospital first or the funeral?" izzie asked.
