• well, first of all, this fic is named after one of my favourite RED songs, so extra brownie points for that 😊
• where do i begin with this story?! odette as a character is so enticing, her backstory is so fleshed out and fascinating to read, and reading the contrast or links between what she said in the past and present day is always a ride. of course there is also her relationship with eddie, which is just... beautiful. not without its trials, of course, but beautiful nonetheless! there is a good reason that this is my favourite eddie roundtree fanfic on here by a mile.
• adding onto backstory, all the supporting characters feel so alive, and they are given so much attention — romeo, lucille, ivy, ruby, etc. — which is so nice that deuteragonists don't fade into the background!
• billie if you're reading this, correct me if i'm wrong, but there might even be some nods to evelyn hugo? whether that's true or i just imagined it, the world-building in this story is absolutely *chef kiss* MWAH
• also it's completed! so you can go read it in its entirety 🥳
