Hiccup's POV
"It totally makes sense. They're the workers and that's their queen. Come on let's find your dad." Astrid got off of Toothless and ran towards the entrance.
"No no we can't." I ran in front of her. "Please Astrid. If they find Toothless they'll kill him."
"We just found the dragon's nest! You're willing to keep it a secret to protect your pet dragon?! Are you serious?!" She yelled surprised.
I closed my hand making a fist and looked at her, "Yes."
"Okay so what do we do?" Her tone and expression softened when she realized I was willing to do anything to protect Toothless.
"Not 'we' only 'me'." I murmured walking over to the rock and grabbed the basket I had packed earlier.
"I don't-"
"Astrid I'm leaving. Forever. I can't stay here. They would've found out eventually and I can't go into that arena tomorrow." I explained tying the basket to Toothless's saddle. I swung my leg over climbing on, "I'm sorry."
"Please write." Astrid pleaded.
"I'll try. Keep a lookout. Goodbye." I murmured gently and Toothless took off.
