"A pleasant morning, Mr. President. I just came here to her car." magalang na sambit ni Marco sa pangulo at sumaludo rito.

Sumaludo rin ang pangulo sa kanya pero kaagad bumaling saakin.

"Follow me, Lietenant Monzano." he commanded full of authority and he turned his back to us walking inside the palace.

I just looked at PSG Santos. He just smiled at me, giving me a signal to go.

Nagmamadali naman akong pumasok sa loob kung saan naabutan ko pa ang pangulo na naglalakad papasok sa opisina niya.

Papasok din ba ako?

"Come in, Lieutenant." It's Atty. Vic.

I just nodded and walked inside his office.

He was just sitting on his table looking straight to me.

Then, I just heard the door that have been close. Atty. Vic closed the door and it makes my heart beat faster.

"Sit down, Lieutenant."

Sinunod ko siya at naupo ako sa upuan na nasa harap ng table niya.

He handed me a piece of paper.

"Thank you very much for accepting my appointment. I'm so glad you are now here."

He signaled me to read it.

Then, my eyes widened for what's in this paper.

500,000 pesos

It's a propose salary from being his PSG slash pilot.

Really? This is unbelievable.

"Mr. President..." Hindi ako makapaniwala.

"You deserve that amount of salary, Lieutenant." sabi niya habang ngiting-ngiti.

"This is too much, Mr. President. Masyadong malaki." sagot ko at ibinalik sa kanya ang papel.

"I tripled your salary because that's how it should be. You did so much for me. Don't worry, the excess sa talagang sahod mo is from me... personal money ko yung ibang ipasasahod ko sayo." This is literally made me shocked. My jaw dropped. His personal money? Why?

He's really the damn rich man, huh?

Bakit kailangan niyang gawin to?

"S-Sir, why me?" I asked full of confusion.

He lifted his eyebrow to me.

"You are the only one who can make me feel safe. Just being by your side or just being you by my side, it feels like I am so protected and I felt so much peace with you."

Honestly from what he said, my heart melts. My eyes wanted to be in tears. Because, finally someone appreciating me and value what I am doing.

"S-Sir, sa totoo lang po... hindi ko alam o hindi ako sigurado kung karapat-dapat ako. Baka kasi tsamba lang yung naprotektahan kita pero paano sa susunod? Baka hindi na kita magawa pang protektahan. What if I fail? What if I will just bring disappointment to you?"

He smiled at me and stood up. He just sat on the chair in front of me.

"You deserve it, Lieutenant. You really deserve this. Eh ano naman kung hindi mo na ako maprotektahan? Ang importante nasa tabi kita. I mean, you being on my side is enough. Lieutenant, you will not fail and you will not bring disappointment to me... you're the best Lieutenant that I know."
