i groaned as the sun beamed in my eyes.

i looked up to see janae sleeping peacefully, her hand still on my ass.

"the hell." i mumbled, getting up.

i went to the bathroom and looked under her cabinet for a spare toothbrush.

i brushed my teeth and washed my face before going back to the room.

i slipped my sweats back on and sat back down on the bed.

i decided to text everybody back, letting them know i'm okay.

incoming facetime call from: kyky💕

i yawned before answering.

"wassam." i said.

"bitch where have you been at? i miss you." she pouted making me grin.

"i've...been busy. just had to handle some shit but i miss you too."

"who house you at?"

"mine?"

"no, your headboard is silver and the one that you behind is black."

"y'all like some detectives. i'm at janae's."

"oohhhhhh." she said in a sing songy voice making me roll my eyes and laugh.

"not too much, it ain't even like that."

"that's not what lashay said." she said, shrugging.

i scrunched my face up.

"what did lashay say?"

"she said when she dropped by last night, janae was picking you up and you was sleep on her and stuff."

weird.

"everything these past 2 weeks have been a blur so i don't know."

"y'all cute."

"so if you knew i was over here, why you ask?"

"i like to catch people in lies."

i was gonna protest but stopped myself.

"can't even blame you because i do too." i said, laughing.

"slide through later?" kyra asked me.

"ye-"

"nope, she's mine." janae said tiredly, pulling me up to her.

i mugged her before sitting up again.

"girl, i'll be over there later." i said making kyra laugh before hanging up.

"morning, sleepyhead." i said to janae.

she turned over to face me.

"good morning, ma."

"amani."

"girl whatever." she said, waving me off.

"thank you."

"for what?"

"helping me. i know it had to be heavy to see me like that and i don't want to put you in that position again. i didn't plan on telling anybody about what i was going through and you didn't judge me even after you found out. you didn't tell the group or anything so i appreciate that." i explained.

"of course, you know i got you. and i'm here for you, whenever you need me. you not a burden, amani. i'm here to help you, i may not be able to...understand but i'll try my best to make sure you good at all times."
