Dear Mr Potter,
On behalf of The Ministry of Magic and The Hogwarts Board of Governors, as well as all Hogwarts Staff, I am pleased to invite you to return to Hogwarts to complete your final year of magical education and examinations.
You are welcome to stay in the Hogwarts dormitories with your fellow 7th and 8th years; however, as a full and legal adult, you may seek your own housing and accommodation in Hogsmeade Village. You also have the option to return to school via the Hogwarts Express OR arrange for your own transportation. Should you opt for the latter, you are responsible for checking in with Mr. Filch at 6pm SHARP on September the 1st at the school gates. Please note that should you choose to return to the dormitories and/or utilize the Hogwarts Express, you will be required to adhere to all school rules regarding, but not limited to, curfew and conduct. Refusal to comply will result in an immediate dismissal from the dormitories and/or a ban from the Hogwarts Express.
Please see the attached list for your required books and supplies for the upcoming term. A separate list has been included with contacts for housing options in Hogsmede Village, should you choose to seek your own accommodations.

Dear Harry,
I hope this letter finds you well, and that you were able to have a lovely birthday! I am so sorry I wasn't able to get your present to you sooner, but I can explain more when I see you next. Are you accepting McGonagall's invitation to return to school? I really think you should. I know I will, I was so worried all last year about whether we would even be able to sit our final exams or not. I would have been happy with just an invitation to complete our finals, but a whole year to properly prepare is even better! In any case, I would very much like to see you again, and soon. I am afraid I have something to ask of you, but I feel it is better discussed in person rather than through a letter. Please let me know if you will be able to meet with me in the coming days.
