Meanwhile, Donita and Dabio spies on the group from her airship and watches the group walk inside the Tortuga.
"Uhh, Donita?" Dabio calls from the pilot seat.
She sighs and flips a page from her magazine. "What is it now, Dabio?" She unenthusiastically asks.
"There's some new girl down there," he points to the ground.
"Probably just a tourist," she flicks her hand. "While you're at it, describe what she looks like.
"Well, ah, she's a girl."
Donita glares at him and exasperatedly sighs. She closes her magazine in annoyance, folding a few pages in the process.
"Ugh! What's the point of having an assistant if I end up doing everything myself?!" She pushes him and looks out the binoculars. She gasps and steps back, covering her mouth with her hands. "It can't be!"
"Uhh, can't be what?"
"That's Clover Hallows. One of the Hallows siblings? Part of the Hallows family? Basically one of the heirs to Hallows Floral Decorum?"
"Ohh! What?"
She takes a deep breath, trying to muster as much patience she possibly can. "If I manage to get her support, I'll know the secrets on how that little flower company is so successful and use all of their flowers to make the most fabulous floral fashion line anyone has ever seen!" She tosses her arms in the air in glee, spinning Dabio in his seat. "Quickly, Dabio," she snaps her fingers. He stops spinning and becomes dizzy. "Find out how the Hallows' secret to success!"
Back at the Tortuga:
"Can you tell us more about your findings?" Martin asks.
"Of course. Would you like today's page? Or maybe yesterday? How about one from last month?" Clover flips through various pages of her journal. "Ah, here's a good one," she places the journal on the table and moves it so the group huddles around the other side.
"Here, I went to the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. Seeing the petals up close felt magical. I took some photos, too, as you can see," she points to the photos inserted. "There's more on my phone," she scrolls in her gallery.
"Not too long after," she turns two pages, purposely skipping the previous one. "I took a road trip to Michigan to an apple blossom orchard as you can see right about here," she skips over a few personal photos and videos she saved. It's photos from a birthday celebration. More specifically, Clover's birthday.
In order, the photos show Iris and Aster sitting on opposite sides of Clover at a restaurant, smiling, the lights are dimmed with a closeup of Clover grinning at a cupcake with a candle sticking out of it, Clover blowing out the candle, and Clover wrapping her arms around her siblings' shoulders with both of them putting an arm behind her.
All three of them look so joyful. Why would Clover want to avoid talking about something like that? The crew also took notice of that. They wanted to ask questions, but they didn't want to pry.
"You've sure been to a lot of places, Clover," Koki slightly changes the topic.
"Hah. Me and the Dandelion Driver sure have had our fair share of adventures. Wait a second...the Dandelion Driver! I forgot I parked it around here all this time!" She slips her phone back in her pocket and slams the journal shut, pushing it back in her bag. "Um, I'll be right back!" She runs back outside.
Chris starts walking to where Clover was and notices she left her backpack. "Oh no. Clover forgot her backpack!" He lifts it up.
"She said she's coming back, though," Jimmy tilts his head.
"This seems really important to her, and what if she accidentally gets lost?" Martin stands next to Chris, adding on to his worries.
"Good point..." Aviva ponders.
"We'll be right back," Chris slings Clover's backpack on his shoulder and runs out the Tortuga with Martin following behind.
"Wait," Chris stops in his tracks. Martin bumps into him.
"What?"
"We don't know which direction she took. By the time she comes back, we might be the ones getting lost instead."
Martin thinks for a moment. He notices a trail of shriveled petals.
"Chris, come look at this," he calls him over and points.
"Looks like Clover figured out she might get lost ahead of time," Chris analyzes
"So she created this trail of wilted petals. Almost like Hansel and Gretel!"
"And turns into compost as it settles into the ground over time."
Chris calls in on the Tortuga HQ on his Creature Pod. "Guys, we found a way on how to catch up to Clover."
"Great! I'll track your coordinates so you can lead her back," Koki types on the keypad.
"Clover!! We're coming to find you again!" Martin runs.
"Hey! Wait up!" Chris follows behind.
Little did they know, Donita has been spying on their entire conversation. If she follows the brothers, she can find Clover even faster. Or better yet, if she ruins the trail, she can find Clover for herself.
"Dabio, activate full hover speed. Blow away those pesky petals," Donita orders.
Dabio nods and flies as close as he can from the top of the trees.
Chris, Martin, and Clover notice the abnormal gust of wind. From the other side, as Clover spreads more petals, a few of them fly out of her hand. She looks at the sky and sees a pink airship hovering over before flying away.
She looks back at the trail. Her face drops in fear. She's lost.
