Note #1: My motivation for writing is all over the place, but I will say that Athena P's new lore video on Wild Kratts definitely made me inspired to finally finish this chapter.
Donita presses a button to deactivate the pose beam, allowing Iris to talk again.
"I'll sue you and your business with immense grandeur, your descendants will fall into bankruptcy!" She threatens.
"Big words you have there, darling," Donita steps forward. "We're moving onto step two. Are we almost there yet, Dabio?"
"Uhhh. I dunno. All I see is snow."
Donita grumbles. "Hmph. Close enough. Now then, flower girl, tell me everything you know about the best plants in Alaska to use for my new clothing line."
"You really captured the wrong person, didn't you...?" Iris glares at her, confused, angry, most importantly, exhausted. "Why should I tell you anything? How do you know I won't jump out of here or tear this place apart?!"
Donita simply chuckles. "Do you really expect me to believe you would do something so spontaneous and life-risking? You're too much, darling."
Donita continues laughing and walks off, leaving Iris all by herself. She groans.
"Ridiculous jet...insane villain...what exactly did Clover get herself into...?"
"There's more about the Creature Power Suits than you realize, Clover," Aviva tries to reason with her. "You'll need to undergo a variety of tests to make sure your body is stable enough to handle its effect."
"Do it right now! I'll do whatever it takes to save my sister."
"Clover," Chris places his hands on her shoulders. "It really can take a toll on your body after a while if you're not careful enough."
"I will be careful! I'm always careful! Just—make sure she's safe...please," Clover places her hands over his, brushing the back with her thumb.
He softly smiles. "We'll get your sister back."
"Yeah! When have we ever backed down on a promise?" Martin stands beside his brother.
"Never."
"And we're gonna keep it that way," Chris nods, affirmatively.
"Now then, let's go save your sister!" Martins pumps his fist in the air.
The Wild Kratts land in Alaska.
"Jimmy, activate camouflage mode," Aviva says.
"Camouflaging," he presses a button, making the exterior of the Tortuga blend in with its snowy surroundings.
Donita's jet flies over the hidden Tortuga, unaware of its location on the radar.
"Hmph. I figured they'd arrive by now," Donita looks out the extended binoculars, moving Dabio out the way before walking back to Iris. She presses another button on the pose beam remote to disable it completely. Iris stretches. "Here's what you're going to do. Since I've clearly captured the wrong one of you three, you are going to lure the right one onto my ship."
"And you really expect me to follow along with your plan?"
"And you expect me to not turn your hair into a knitted beret?"
Iris grits her teeth. Donita smirks and walks away, bringing back a coat and beanie that looks the exact same winter outfit she wears. "I wouldn't want you to freeze in this weather, dearie. Take this and be on your way."
