There were quite a few spots that did not fill. Therefore, for the sake of fairness, we will be combining some of the genres.
The new combined genres will be:
✨Historical and General Fiction✨
✨Horror and Paranormal✨
✨Action/Adventure and Thriller/Suspense✨
Additional information regarding the changes:
Your judges are still the same and will remain the same. If you need to double check, please consult the accepted entries chapter. The genres are only being combined, not the judges or the scores. You will have the same judge throughout the competition if/as you move forward.
The award medals have been premade. You will still get a medal in the applicable genre. For instance, if your book is paranormal and it wins third place, you will still get a third place paranormal medal.
Why are we doing this?
It's not fair for other contestants who have full genres to compete with genres who only have five or six other people to compete with.
We tried our best to keep the combined genres as similar as possible, as you can see.
