SM: kyu? Rekha behen kyu nahi khayengi ?

KS: behen? 😳

SM: haa toh

KS: ye kab hua... Aur... Um.... Unhe sugar hai, icecream nhi kha sakte

HM: koi baat nahi humne unke liye sugar free order ki hai

KS: par

HM: khaate hue baat nahi krte, chup chap Khao...

KS: areh jiji par (KS interrupted because she was hell surprised and confused but she was also happy, it felt like being on cloud 9 that she was having a normal~happy family, she wanted to know how and what)

(Pov me: just like my readers who are confused hehe😏😂)

HM (sternly): repeat kare hum?  (Asked HM raising one of her eyebrows in a questioning manner🤨)

KS: aa... N... Nhi... Hum... Hum khaate hai na

HM: dhang se (pointing at the plate of food kept in front of KS )

KS nodded her head in yes and focused on eating while RS and SM suppressed their smile seeing KS's condition. They then had icecream during which KS tried to clarify the doubts in her mind but wasn't able to as either HM or the mothers twisted the talk.

Finally they all went to sleep as it was a really long day for everyone. KS wanted to stay up for a while to find the answers to the tower of questions built up in her mind but HM obviously did not allow her as she wanted her to sleep on time. Also, KS had no specific reason that could be mentioned to stay awake.

Soon, KS slipped into deep slumber as she hugged HM and the KarEena duo slept peacefully as their faces reflected that they were having a "sukoon wali neend"

(Author's query: vaise, just for my knowledge sake, how would y'all describe your "sukoon vali neend" ? Like, kab aati hai vaisi neend?

Meanwhile the other duo were sitting on RS's bed as they uttered together: ReMa ..... Hahahaha...

SM: yaad hai tujhe abhi bhi

RS: aur nahi toh kya

SM: ye log toh ab banate hai aise combine krke naam, humne toh apne time mei hi bana liye the

RS: vahi, REkha + salMA = REMA, pure school mei famous ho Gaya tha

SM: aur college mei bhi😂😂

RS: areh, college mei toh shuru mei logo ko lagta tha ki kisi ek ladki ka naam hoga ReMa

SM: vahi toh, ab unhe kon samjhaye

ReMa shared a look and said together

ReMa: do (2) jism, ek Jaan, hence ek naam thi hum.. haha (they said, with brimmed eyes)

And then they shared a hug

RS: humne tumhe bohot miss kiya🥺

SM: humne bhi🥺🥺

After a while they broke the hug and lied down to sleep when

RS: haha, bestfriends

SM hit RS playfully on her arm

ReMa (said together): aha,pakki saheli

RS: yaad hai hume, hum toh bas

SM: hume chedh rhi thi

RS nodded

SM: sudhrogi nahi

RS: kabhi nahi

They both the laughed and drove off to sleep reminiscing their memories with a smile on their face which clearly reflected their joyous state of mind.

The next morning:
HM woke up early as she had to go for jogging, she wanted to take KS along but Ammi being Ammi did not allow her to break her younger daughter's sleep. HM could clearly understand SM's feelings and hence she didn't even force.

2 days passed. They were living peacefully. No one spoke about the past. KS's questions remained still unanswered. But, KS was getting pampered enough and no doubt she was enjoying the treatment. She decided to ignore the questions in her mind and enjoy the "normal family" time. She was happy and contended and so were the others.

HM was the happiest seeing KS happy. She smiled genuinely thinking that her plan worked. She had scolded KS at times for pety reasons and it was also sorted, so no major ruthna manana.

While, RS and SM now had no grudges against each other. They were happy living together, it seemed as if their childhood bestfriend dream came true.

It was lunch time then, they all were having their food and doing a little chit chat, this was getting common for them. Everyone had a smile on their face except for RS. HM could sense a slight tension in RS's face and behaviour. Nevertheless RS did try to hide it from everyone with a plastered smile. So HM decided to ignore it for the current being and enquire about it later.

But, it seems RS had some different plans. As soon as they were done with the lunch. RS went to her room and came back with a file and a pen. She kept it on the table infront of HM:

RS: Hasu beta, please sign on these

HM: sign? Amma? Ye konse papers hai?

RS: bas tum krdo

KS: Amma ye kya hai?

Meanwhile SM came and saw the papers and SM and HM shared a shocked look

HM: ye toh

SM: Rekha? Ye... Ye kyu? Achanak?

KS: areh aisa bhi kya hai in papers mei, hume bhi toh koi batao

Before KS could see, RS uttered

RS: tumhari custody ke papers hai gudiya, ispe sign karne se legally Haseena tumhari guardian ho jayegi

KS was shocked and stunned, she sat there silently looking at HM for her response, but even she was blank. She did not expect this

HM: par Amma? Aap ye achanak?

SM: Rekha apni Karishma hum dono ki beti hai, jitni meri hai, usse kayi zyada teri hai, tune paala hai use... Toh custody ya legal rights jiske paas bhi rahe, usme koi baat thodi hai.... Tere paas rights ho ya humare paas, ek hi toh baat hai na

RS: haan, ek hi baat hai, isliye keh rhe hai, Haseena beta sign kardo

HM: aapne hume?

RS: dekho, hume bekar mei court kacheri ke tante nahi chahiye the. Salma behen ko custody dene se problems ho sakti thi unki age ko leke, plus uski koi permanent job bhi nahi hai, par tum toh jaani maani officer ho, abhi trainer ho... Aur toh aur... Humari gudiya ki behen ho tum... Toh tumhare upar koi sawal nahi uthega... Koi problems bhi nahi hogi, Aram se custody forward ho jayegi

HM: par hum kaise... Ye sab

RS: tujhse behtar koi nahi le sakta ye zimmedaari beta, bharosa rakho khud pe, aur tum aur gudiya toh ek dusre se bohot pyaar bhi karte ho na

HM: Amma, hum.. hum chhoti se, apni shehzaadi se (cupped KS's face and then left after a second) bohot bohot pyaar karte hai... Sabse jyada, hum inke liye jaan tak de sakte hai aur aap sab ye baat jaante hai... Par custody bohot badi responsibility hai, chhoti ke future ka sawal hai
