The word 'love' was something you fully wish to experience. However, most foxes you meet are sly, cunning, clever and manipulators. 

'To fall in love' was desolated from your heart and interspecies love had barely crossed your mind – that is, until you met him. 

His fur was the colour of the gleaming sky; his luxurious mane was of the magnificent bright sun. Those lavender eyes that gaze through yours...

Azure Lion.

Two totally different species, yet that did not faze you. You were simply too in love with him. And he was to you.

You both had first encountered with one another at a lake in the forest. That moment felt as though the heavens themselves have purposely matched you together from the beginning. The two of you always meet up at the same place.

As time grew, so was your love. It came to pass, naturally you and Azure became mates. Then soon after that, you were expecting to have a family.

When the brother hood was forming, Azure was worried to leave you, a vulnerable expecting fox alone. Nevertheless, you told him: "I will be fine Azu~~ Go and meet your brothers!"

You brushed your face against his in reassurance, but his face still holds concern.

One last time, he asked you: "are you sure Y/N..?"

You replied, "yes," and then he kissed you goodbye, heading out to meet up with his sworn brothers. And one more time, the lion looked back and smiled, you too did the same.

Suddenly, you heard a knock on the door.

You stood still, contemplating whether you should open it.

You can't help but feel sick.

Your stomach twists and turns...

Every strand of your fur sticks up – Goosebumps.

Your tail doesn't move while your ears folds.

Nonetheless, you twisted the knob and opened it.

You were greeted by the sight of a cheetah holding a bouquet of flowers. Everything at that moment seemed normal and fine.

W h a t    w e r e    y o u    s o    f r i g h t e n e d    o f ?

The cheetah asked, "Azure Lion?"

You uttered, "he had just left an hour ago."

"I see..."

"Ye-"

Your words were cut off shortly as the cheetah pushed the flowers to you.

"Oh..?" You held them tightly...

"HE TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME. Even my family!"

The cheetah looks familiar and the name came to you.

"Melon?"

The cheetah froze.

You remembered that you were both childhood friends and overtime you lost touch with each other.

Melon trembled, "Y-Y/N?!??"

You grinned at him.

"You've taken his too~"

His gaze fell at your bleeding abdomen, you placed your hand there.

"No no no no no NO! It w-wasn't supposed to GO LIKE THIS!"

You slowly go down and leaned at the door frame.

"I'M SORRY Y/N I'M SORRY!" The dagger dropped as he loosen his grip at the weapon.

Melon cried as he ran away, leaving you alone.

Your breathing became heavy.

You smiled as you stared at the sky.

"Thank you for your love Azu."

Those were your last words as you have found eternal peace.

The cheerful lion's mood was soon replaced.

He ran to the fox, calling your name. "Y/N!"

There was nothing he could do.

You were dead.

Azure roared and cried over your death.

He lightly touched your cheek.

You died with a smile on your face...

The monster that killed you was also gone too.

He killed himself.

The lion closed your eyes and moved away from you.

Even when you died, you still looked beautiful to his eyes.

You were his only salvation.

The only fox that had reached his heart.

Now, he can't imagine having another family with anyone.

After all, you were his one true love.
