OFF HOLD! New chapter for my lovely readers. :)

Recap: Promises are meant to be broken. The problem is, people expect too much. For Sakura, spending two and a half months of relationship with Sasuke was enough to prove that he loved her. However, that day came. The day he left her hanging. The day he didn't even tell her where he'll be. The day he broke her heart into a million pieces.

"It's good that you finally had your rest day," The woman smiled at her daughter, holding her hand. "It seems like you really need it."

The latter shrugged. "I'm doing well with work though, I'm fine."

Mebuki took their orders alongside Kizashi. They were currently spending time at the newly opened café near the Yamanaka flower shop, or some would address it as "family bonding". Kizashi has always been working at America hence inable for them to bond with each other for quiet a long time.

Sakura was quietly sitting on her chair while her parents talk. She was not listening and paying attention to them, nor to anyone. She was spacing out again, until something caught her eye.

The pink-haired lady focused her eyes to the couple who just came inside the café. Their hands were intertwined, and bright smiles were apparent in their faces. She watched as the two exchanged sweet actions with each other, and somehow, her chest felt pain. It was as if someone had hit her; she obviously hated the feeling.

She felt that strong emotion not because of those two certain people, but because for once, she realized that if he didn't leave, maybe they were also happy.

Ah, she was thinking of him again... and it was a wrong choice.

"Dear?" Sakura faced her mother when she heard her call. "Hey, are you okay? What's wrong? You're spacing out."

Instead of answering, she just shrugged. Mebuki and Kizashi started to exchange looks, proceeding again with their unfinished conversation.

"Anyway," Her father cleared his throat before smiling at his wife and daughter. "I'm supposed to go back to America before Christmas."

That statement surprisingly caught the young pinkette's attention. "Why don't you spend Christmas here at Japan? I mean, it's been years since we spent it together and.."

The man sighed, "Even if I wanted to stay, I can't. You know that I have to work, for you and for your mother."

Sakura shut her eyes tightly, letting his father's words sink in. Sure, she understood. Right from the very start, she knew that Kizashi would return to America eventually. But every time she imagines that Christmas, New Year, or even her birthday passed without him by her side, there was an emptiness within her that no one could actually fill.

"Okay then," was all she could utter.

She lost her appetite because of the conversation, however she was taken aback when Kizashi added something.

"But this year, I'm actually planning to spend it with the both of you. So, I'm still thinking if I should take you and your mom to America with me."
