Several days had passed since Y/N returned home.

She had mustered the courage to have a heart-to-heart conversation with her mother, Amaryllis, about her newfound powers. The discussion had been deep and meaningful, leading to a decision: Y/N wanted to fully explore and harness her unique abilities. Despite Amaryllis's initial reservations, she eventually agreed to support her daughter's choice.

Y/N threw herself into honing her newfound skills. She had a natural aptitude for her power, and she was quick to label herself as overpowered. She felt a sense of mastery over her abilities, convinced that she was excelling at them effortlessly.

Y/N was great at her power, she'd say she was too overpowered, she had complete control of it. She was great, she was amazing at it and she had practically perfected the craft, it was quite easy for her.

Well, at least that's what she told herself.

Reality had a way of humbling her. Y/N's frustration was palpable as she struggled to conjure more than a mere flicker of flame. The process drained her energy, and her attempts were falling short of her own expectations.

"This is stupid!" Y/N burst out in exasperation, her voice tinged with annoyance. In truth, she found herself struggling to conjure a sustained flame, and her frustration was building.

Amaryllis, carrying a tray of food to replenish Y/N's energy, offered her words of encouragement. "You're making progress, my dear. It's possible that your body needs time to adjust after suppressing your powers for so long."

Y/N sighed, her frustration still evident. "I know, Mom, but I thought I'd be better at this. It's like I'm hitting a wall."

Amaryllis smiled gently, and placed the tray in front of Y/N. "Remember, mastery takes time. You have a remarkable gift, and with patience and practice, you'll surely reach your full potential."

"Mom, don't sugarcoat it. I know I'm not exactly strong," Y/N murmured with a touch of self-deprecation, a frown tugging at Amaryllis' features.

"Don't you dare label yourself as weak, Y/N," Amaryllis scolded, playfully tugging at Y/N's ear, prompting a slight wince from her.

"Ouch, mom, okay, okay, I hear you!" Y/N protested, attempting to free herself as Amaryllis couldn't help but stifle a chuckle, her fingers dancing teasingly along Y/N's side.

"Say the words, dear. Say 'I am strong'!" Amaryllis insisted, a soft blush dusting Y/N's cheeks at the request.

"Mom, seriously?" Y/N groaned, a mix of frustration and embarrassment coloring her tone. Amaryllis couldn't help but laugh softly. "Fine, fine! I am strong!" Y/N finally exclaimed, making a valiant effort to disentangle herself from Amaryllis' playful grasp.

"Good, know your worth, Y/N." Amaryllis teased, a faint blush trickled Y/N's cheeks.
