This is a fanfiction written from varying perspectives that takes place after the events of A Court of Silver Flames, before the events of the House of Sky and Breath epilogue, and draws off of haleyspeed's A Court of Song and Shadow.
A quick note: haleyspeed's A Court of Song and Shadow is clearly the best ACOTAR fanfiction I have ever read. Go read it - it's on Ao3.
For context: Velaria (who is named Velaris in haley's version), dies in a fight with the Spring Court, but before she does sends out letters to each member of the Court of Dreams, including her mate, Azriel. She is a shadowsinger, and gives her shadows to Az. She and the Court of Dreams had made a promise a bit before, to always make their way back to each other, and each member of the Court of Dreams had a tattoo that symbolized that bargain, but it disappears as soon as Velaria dies.
Characters, world, etc. belong to Sarah J. Maas. This is not canon, and it is unofficial fanfiction.
