Gianna awoke with a start with sound of the booming voice of Madame Blainely. Gianna sat up slightly and felt the cushion of the Hospital Wing bed at her finger tips. She molded the sheets between her thumb and her forefinger. How long was I asleep? Gianna wondered.

Madame Blainely's shrill voice echoed through the corridor again this time scolding whoever she was speaking to. "Spiders? Poison? You kids know that is simply unacceptable. You could get expelled for wandering about the grounds. Headmaster Black is no joke." It was dark and Gianna couldn't make out the other person in the room.

Upon her stay in the Hospital Wing her vision had gotten worse. Her eyes still stung and felt swollen. Her vision was wildly unclear and disoriented to the point where she saw mostly in shapes and colors. Large figures and people blurred together but it hurt to keep her eyes open for long anyways. Her eyes were pooling with teary liquid that begged for her to close them. She obliged and felt a small hint of bliss in doing so.

She felt something move at the foot of her bed and figured that must be where the person talking to Madame Blainely was sitting. The person patted at her feet atop the sheets.

They spoke politely and Gianna recognized the proper accent when they spoke ,"With all due respect." Ominis stated. "We weren't galavanting looking for spiders. They were just outside Hogsmeade grounds." Ominis lied. Obviously he had spent time thinking of it. It would take an elaborate lie to keep Gianna out of trouble.

"And what were the two of you doing outside of Hogsmeade at such an hour?" She interrogated in disbelief. Gianna thought she heard Madame Blainely tap her foot in impatience.

Gianna felt Ominis grip the bedsheets and curl them about his fingers. She heard him swallow.

"We were on a date." He said quietly. "I had planned a nice picnic for her on the edge of Hogsmeade." He lied.

Surely Madame Blainely would never believe that.
His shakiness to his breath made him seem unsure of his answer. Madame Blainely would see through it.

Instead though it inflicted quite the opposite. Madame Blainely scoffed and it felt like she may have rolled her eyes. She muttered to herself just loud enough that both Gianna and Ominis heard her. "Kids..to be so young and in love." The woman chastised. Gianna stirred uncomfortably at her comment alerting Madame Blainely and Ominis she was awake.

"Good Heavens!" Madame Blainely cried stepping around Ominis to get to her. Gianna groaned a sharp stabbing pain in her eyes.

Madame Blainely strained a warm washcloth from the bedside table next to her and placed it over her eyes.

"How are you dear? Feeling any better?" She asked placing a hand on her forehead. "I'm alright Madame." Gianna croaked reeling at the woman's cold hands. "Hogwash." Madame Blainely barked motioning for Gianna to open her mouth so she can take her vitals.

"You've taken on the poision sac of a shooter spider. I wouldn't call that 'alright' '" Madame Blainely half scolded as she nurtured her. Gianna felt herself hold back a laugh. There was something so charming about being doctored up and mothered at the same time.

"You've got quite the fever." Madame Blainely clicked her tounge in a disapproving manner. "You'll be here for a bit you will." She stated plainly.

Ominis took Gianna's hand and squeezed it. His palm was sweaty and Gianna could tell he was nervous on her behalf.

"Is she gonna be okay?" He questioned softly. His thumb rubbed over the top of her hand gently.

"Well like I told you yesterday Mr.Gaunt we don't have the ingredients needed for the antidote. They should be here latest tonight. We are hoping for a speedy recovery thereafter. " She explained. "Till then Miss. Romano will be undergoing treatments to manage the pain and swelling." She continued.
