WENTWORTH HORROR STORY: PART 5 - Relight My Fire

So, its the mid 1990's and Colleen Powell is a progressive governor who wants to reform Blackmoor, stamp out corruption, and drag the prison system up to date. Colleen and her dependable deputy governor, Jim Fletcher, plan to have a disco for the prisoners and are hoping that the popular 1990's boy band Take That might make a guest appearance. But with the ghost of Bongo Connors terrorizing the prison, Cynthia Leach as top dog and the likes of Ruth, Joan and Marie now back inside as well as the evil Craven hell bent on revenge on everyone, but especially his killer Lori, will the disco night be a success or will someone ''relight the fire'' Rita started in 1986?

Elsewhere Inspector Grace is still, at the hotel, searching for the missing Vicki. Will Vicki be found dead or alive and who else will die during Craven and the other demons reign of terror?

Everyone who was arrested at the hotel is standing in the yard with Colleen and Jim
Colleen paces up and down talking to them
Colleen - A few familiar faces here i see
She stops next to Joan and stares at her
Colleen - I can't say its nice to see some of you...
Joan gives Colleen a smirk
Colleen carries on walking
Colleen - But I'm a very fair governor and willing to give everyone a fair chance
Kate - Well i shouldn't even be here. i am needed back at the hospital, i am a qualified doctor you know!
Colleen - Oh shut up Peterson!
Kate - I'm sorry but have we met before?
Colleen - Still playing games i see? You know we have



At the hotel Inspector Grace is still looking for Vicki
Grace puffs on a fag and looks pissed off
Grace - How can she just disappear like that without a trace? There must be some sign of her somewhere, i mean she can't have just bloody vanished without a trace can she?
They go out onto the roof and spot some water tanks on the roof
As they approach they can hear someone banging and calling out for help from inside one of the tanks
Grace - Bloody hell there is someone in there! Quick boys it could be our girl!
They rush to open the hatch at the top of the tank and there is Vicki trapped inside the tank, waist deep in the water, screaming and crying in terror



Ruth and Joan come face to face later in the courtyard
Ruth - Well hello Joan!
Joan - Hello Ballinger
Ruth - i knew we'd come face to face like this again one day
Joan - I wanted you dead Ballinger
Ruth - Funny you should say that because i wanted the same for you
Joan - Well now we're back together maybe I'll kill you
Ruth - Not if i kill you first
Joan - I bet you plan to be the top dog?
Ruth - Of course
Joan - Well maybe I'll be top dog instead. Shouldn't have too much trouble getting rid of Morgan
Ruth smirks
Ruth - Sorry to tell you this but Morgan is not the top dog now, its an old friend of both of us Cynthia Leach
Joan looks alarmed
Joan - Leach is top dog?
Ruth - Yes but don't worry it won't last long if i have anything to do with it. I'll soon get rid of her
Joan - Huh! keep on dreaming Ballinger. Leah won't be an easy opponent to beat
Ruth - You just watch and see Joan, watch and see



Vicki is at the police station with Grace
Grace - Who put you in the tank? Was it John the security guard? Did he kill Janet too? We can't find any CCTV to prove what happened
Vicki stares into space and is unresponsive
Grace - Listen Vicki there is no need to be scared. Tell us what happened and we'll protect you i promise
Vicki suddenly attacks Grace and tries to strangle him. She has a totally demonic look in her eyes
Grace tries to fight her off but she is very crazy and strong
Grace - Bloody hell get her off me!
Other officers rush forwards to pull Vicki away from Grace. She fights and roars like a wild animal



The next day...



Colleen and Jim are in the office at Blackmoor
Colleen - Jim i think its time for us to do that disco we were talking about
Jim looks unsure and worried
Jim - Col I've had a rethink. I do support you with your plans to reform Blackmoor honestly i do but I'm not so sure if the disco is the right way to do it. Something could go wrong
Colleen - It will be strictly supervised Jim, it will be fine. I'm hoping to get the boy band Take That to make an appearance, i know a lot of the female inmates really love them and the gay male inmates too
Jim looks surprised
Jim - But Take That already split up earlier this year
Colleen - Yes but they will get back together for this one off. I contacted Gary Barlow myself and he agreed to it. The press will be here it will be great publicity for us


NOTE - Take That split up in February 1996 and this is set in June 96. I know they obviously wouldn't have got back together to do a disco in a prison (LMAO) but this is just complete fantasy haha. Take That are one of those groups who instantly remind me of, and take me back to, the 90's as well as Oasis and Garbage who had songs featured in previous episodes.


Jim looks at Colleen with amazement
Jim - Colleen i have to hand it to you, you sure know how to get things done. You're an incredible governor
Colleen - I remember how harsh i used to be and i no longer believe that that's the way to be. Firm but fair is better
Jim - I feel the same way. I used to be too hard and judgmental at times. The homophobia in particular was one of my worst moments



Vicki is in an asylum
Grace is talking to a Psychiatrist. The Psychiatrist is Jonathan Edmunds
Grace - She was obviously attacked by someone and put in the water tank but she is very disturbed and we can't get anything out of her. She is dangerous now, She attacked me and she could attack others. we have no idea what happened to her to make her this disturbed but she needs serious help now
Edmunds gives a sinister smirk
Edmunds - Don't you worry Inspector. She is in very safe hands here. I'll look after her...


...After Grace has left Edmunds sits next to Vicki and smiles
Edmunds - You're mine, all mine, and i will take care of you. My new toy
Vicki screams



Edwin Cooper is in the men's section where he is greeted by the male prisoners
Stud and Neil Murray are there
Stud - Hello and welcome to the black hole!
Edwin is nervous
Edwin - Please don't hurt me
The men laugh
Neil - Now why would we hurt you?
Stud - Why are you so scared of us?
Edwin - I don't know, I'm just nervous on my first day in here
Stud pats him on the back
Stud - No need to be scared. We'll look after you. Now tell us about why you're here
Edwin looks angry
Edwin - It was that Wentworth bunch, they were to blame for all of it
Neil and Stud look interested
Neil - The Wentworth bunch?
Edwin - Yes they were ex prisoners from the old Wentworth prison. They were having a reunion but the whole thing was a set up for murder and mayhem and i fell right into the trap
Neil - Was Chrissie Latham there?
Edwin - Oh yes, she was there One of the ringleaders too
Neil smirks with delight
Neil - What excellent news. I've been waiting to see Chrissie again for years now
Stud is also getting excited
Stud - Was Alice Jenkins, Lori Wilkinson and Kath Maxwell there?
Edwin - Yes
Stud - Oh this is great news! At last i can get revenge on those Wentworth slags!



Bongo is back with Colleen
Bongo - I have someone here who wants to see you Mrs Powell
A ghostly young boy appears before Colleen. The boy is Robert her son
Colleen cries and touches his ghostly face
Colleen - Robert my boy? My son? It's really you?
Robert - Yes mum its really me. I need your help mum
Colleen - You know I'll do anything for you and your sister
Robert - We're being tortured. Jenny and me
Colleen looks distressed
Colleen - But who is torturing you son?
Robert - Mr Craven and his long lost twin brother Geoff Butler are both torturing us. The torture will only end when you kill Roo Morgan and Jim Fletcher
Bongo laughs
Bongo - See i told you you gotta kill Roo
Colleen looks horrified
Colleen - Yes i was aware i have to kill Morgan but not Jim too? Come on he is my friend and a damn good man
Robert - Mum you have to kill him, if you don't Jenny and me will be tortured more and more. You have to make a choice mum, who do you want to protect, Mr Fletcher or me and Jenny?
Bongo laughs cruelly
Colleen looks absolutely horrified but resigned
Colleen - Oh hell...



Cynthia is in a hot bath being pampered by her slaves. She has a face pack on and cucumbers over her eyes
Ruth is there with the slaves
Ruth - It's ok slaves you can leave now i will serve Ms. Leach
The slaves leave
Ruth sits beside the bath tub and starts shampooing Cynthia's hair for her
Ruth - Is that nice Miss?
Cynthia - Yes slave its very nice. I see you came to your senses and understand that all you can do now is serve me Ballinger
Ruth - Oh yes of course.
Cynthia - No one can deny that you've been a powerful woman in the past but those days are over, now you are here and i am in charge
Ruth - Yes mistress i understand
Cynthia - You will serve and obey me from this day forwards
Ruth plugs a hairdryer into the wall socket and switches it on
Cynthia, with her face pack and blinded by the cucumbers looks very relaxed in the bath ,
Ruth - I know its not easy to beat you Cynthia
Cynthia - Impossible darling, simply impossible. you did the right thing admitting defeat my dear
Ruth throws the hairdryer into the bath water electrocuting Cynthia
Ruth - Oh i wouldn't say that darling. Nothing is impossible for me
Ruth smirks happily as she watches Cynthia fry to death



Matt Denson, the blind man whose brother Terry was killed by Kath, is talking to Margo
Matt - Gaffney is it true that Kath Maxwell is here?
Margo - yes, she's the bitch in the wheelchair
Matt looks interested
Matt - Wheelchair? So the murdering bitch is disabled now just like me?
Margo - Yeah that's right
Matt looks delighted
Matt - This is very exciting news to hear
Margo looks confused
Margo - Why is it so exciting?
Matt - Because i want that bitch to pay for killing my brother. Revenge has been on my mind since 1986, that's 10 whole bloody years Gaffney, 10 years of thinking about revenge on her. Finding out she is here at last, but even better in a wheelchair, is the best news I've had in years. Now at last i can have her and she'll be even more vulnerable in the wheelchair. Reckon you can go and get her for me Gaffney?
Margo shrugs
Margo - Sure it'll cost ya though
Matt - You'll be paid. Just get that bitch and bring her to me



Gary Barlow and the rest of Take That, minus Robbie, are at Blackmoor in the office with Colleen
Gary Barlow - I'm sorry Mrs Powell but that diva Robbie refused point blank to get back together with us, not even for 1 night
Colleen smiles
Colleen - It doesn't matter the rest of you are here and that's good enough. Thank you so much for getting back together for this one off
Gary - We couldn't say no really. I imagine the inmates here don't get much joy in life do they?
Colleen - No sadly they don't. That's why this disco is so important . The press are also here tonight to do a story. This will draw attention to mine, and my deputy governor Mr Fletchers, campaign for prison reform...


...The media are waiting in the Blackmoor hall as Take That walk in with Colleen and Jim
Reporter - So what made you lads get back together for one night like this?
Gary - We support prison reform and Mrs Powell put across her desire for reform and she thought we could help and i agree. We want to help so here we are
Reporter - No sign of Robbie though?
Gary - Robbie does his own thing now. He refused to reform with us not even for one night. Its a shame but we don't need him, he already left the band in 1995 before we split up anyway



The inmates, male and female, are all lined up in the yard while Colleen and Jim talk to them
Colleen - So tonight, ladies and gents, there will be a disco as part of my plans to reform Blackmoor
Everyone cheers with excitement
Colleen - Before you go i want to remind you all that you must behave tonight. No bad behavior at all. The media will be here and we want to be on our best behavior and create a good impression
Jim - You lot are lucky to have such a great governor. Mrs Powell has organized some surprise guests for the disco. You will find out who they are in a minute and you will see that you must be good for our special guests
Colleen - Alright everyone move off to the hall now
Everyone starts to leave excited
Colleen grabs Roo and drags her from the group
Colleen - Not you Morgan you're banned from the disco
Roo looks mad
Roo - What the bloody hell for?
Colleen smirks
Colleen - Oh lets say its punishment for all the hassle you've caused me
Roo - But come on I've not been bad lately. This isn't fair. its Leach causing all the problems now
Colleen - Yes but you see, unfortunately for you, i gold a grudge so come on move it back to your cell for the night
Roo moves off angrily
Roo - Its not bloody fair!
Colleen - Just shut your mouth and move



Everyone arrives at the disco and most of the women, and a few of the men, clap cheer and scream with excitement when they see Take That
Gary - Hello and good evening everyone! We are here to make sure this disco goes with a bang!
Take That start one of their songs
