"...You're not chosen because you're special, you're special because you're chosen..."

-Fr. Mike Schmitz (Youtube : Ascension Presents-Why God Loves You)

On top of working from home during school breaks, I'm also an author-artist of my webcomic "Gladyouwaition-Gladyouwaited(GYWIE)". I do it all by myself, with God's guidance and help, and to be able to do all these needs a ton of discipline. Still, I won't justify my lack of it when it comes to my sleep, which sadly, I'm still struggling with (small win for D45 tho for making it around 10 pm yey, maybe I had 10PMs before but this time I decided to give it more credit; never give up). Work, I'm committed and doing well, but sleep, it's still a struggle seven weeks in now. Again, I easily sleep but I don't easily stop working with the things I love doing...

And so, friend, what do you love to do? What are you so passionate about that whenever you get to do it, it makes you happy, not on a surface level but deeply? If it is good, go for it; hold on to it. If it is intrinsically bad, let go of it; surrender it to God. If you're undecided; you don't really know your passion yet, pray to God about it and try out good things. Don't worry, it doesn't matter when you get to know it, in God's time it will come, pray unceasingly, my friend. With that being said, there's also this circumstance where we have found out what we are passionate about but we can't attend to them because of responsibilities given to us at the moment that doing what we are passionate about isn't practical and maybe can't help make our ends meet, and the like. I'm in a situation wherein, I can't go full-time with my passion project yet because I'm still studying and I don't want to drop out either because years and resources have been invested and I'm into my course as well. But sometimes, I just want to go all in with my passion, but then again, I offer it up to God with patience and trust that in His pacing and timing, it will all work out according to His plan for my life. Friend, in all of our lives, He's got a plan for each one of us specifically. Others may start from a marginalized standpoint; others, otherwise, but God has a plan through and beyond all of these.

When Abraham was called by God to go to a foreign land with His wife and nephew, knowing nobody where they were going, when God meant Joseph's misery caused by his envious brothers into saving their family and a lot of people instead, when God made you and me to exist in this lifetime, there's a story that we get to live and co-write with Him. Through free will, we write our own story, and we can let him write with us. If we don't, it's not a solo ride, and can never be, automatically, it's the evil one intruding on our story and making us believe we know what's best for us when it's all just a setup from the deceiver. Let go and let God.

I love reading comics ever since as a little kid up to now and I yearn to see a Catholic-inspired one for ages. Sadly, most of the time searching for full-length story-type ones, I end up seeing nothing related to Catholic Faith application in our daily lives. (If you know a Catholic webcomic, do share I would love to know too :) Until, one day, I realized what if I create one? Oh, it's a lot of work; let alone doing it all by myself (I can't afford to hire an assistant when I'm just beginning). And so I prayed for it. "Should I do it, God? When? How? Where am I gonna start? Lord, your will be done. If you're calling me to do this, may your Holy Spirit enlighten me on what needs to be done..." And the rest is history. It's been a year of my GYWIE webcomic artistry experience, and God-willing, there's more to go. As for school days as a uni student, a hiatus can happen, but during breaks, it's all or nothing. Please pray for me guys, I'm praying for you all. Thank you so much for the support. All for His greater glory. God bless.
