Charles Wallace and Sam explained to Calvin that Meg was gonna be in the hospital for a few days and Chad's flu was to last five days.
"The girls are pinched for sure" said Sam.
"Not if the Warriors have anything to say about it. Nobody gets pinched when we're in town" said Calvin.
"But what could we do? Jeremy's away, the Wiggles are on tour and Paul's waiting for his own baby, so the Beatles are out too" said Charles Wallace.
"Well... there's still us. We can take care of Idina and Kristen" said Calvin.
"Us? Calvin, do you know what you're doing?" said Sam.
"Sam, I had kids before" said Calvin.
"And then you traded them for a dog" said Sam.
"And then I rescued them from that hideous orphanage. And now that I'm married, I think I can handle them" said Calvin.
"But these are Meg's kids we're talking about. This ain't something we're great at" said Sam.
"Come on, Sam. It's just a week or so" said Charles Wallace.
"But it's gonna be a long one. I mean, what if they get in trouble?" said Sam.
"We're warriors. We'll get them out of it" said Calvin.
"Cal's right. We're always getting ourselves in and out of trouble. How hard can it be when we're not the ones in it?" said Charles Wallace.
Sam sighed. "Alright, I guess we can try."
"Sweet! Let's go tell Chad the good news!" said Charles Wallace.
"It's late, Charles Wallace. He'll probably in bed" said Calvin.
"Cal, I think he's right. We should tell Chad now; he could really use some good news" said Sam.
Mr Carmichael himself entered the office just then.
"Hey! Calvin! Tomorrow, I'd like you to show off one of our newest cars" he said.
Calvin sighed in frustration.
"Sir, my brother-in-law is sick and he needs the three of us to watch his kids" said Charles Wallace.
"Well, the show isn't long, kid. Besides, the newest are thousand dollar porches; this could be big" said Mr Carmichael.
"Well... that would be good for this tiny little store" said Calvin.
"So we're agreed?" said Mr Carmichael.
Calvin thought about it then considered that there were three warriors.
"Alright. I guess I could spare an hour or two" he said.
"Good. Now your shift is over, so you're free" said Mr Carmichael.
"Thank you, sir" said Calvin.
"Well, now Calvin's back on track. To Chad's!" said Sam
